No, my response was to you. What's appalling is your inability to phrase things properly. Ryan, your insecurity and how you try to make yourself feel better, shines through like a spotlight on the high seas. I hope you feel better now. Peace. By the way, I knew your response was to me. See, I'm not THAT stupid. ...What? Insecurity? For your dumb statement? No, I'm perfectly secure on that. I don't try to play the "my black friend" card like a punchline.

Lol...you were shown freaking proof and then spin it anyway. Proof of aoc's near-death experience where rioters nearly broke down a glass door only held in place by cracking hinges in the basement? I must have missed it. Can you repost? If I had to make a guess, aoc viewed the video from the Capitol Building where some rioters could see Senators through a glass window in a door with a single Capitol Police Officer standing between the rioters and the door when one of the rioters threw a punch at the glass (I think it was even you who posted that video here) and aoc projected herself into that situation. Either aoc is a liar or she is so delusional that she believes she was actually in that video. Either way it is a problem. If the media truly wanted to inform, they'd be talking to those Senators who were in the Capitol Building locking eyes with a riotous mob only a door (and an armed officer) away rather than heaping praise on camera-friendly aoc who wasn't even there. Stop. Spinning. Stop being dense and address the question. Did Nancy Mace lie? Why is her story not offensive? She said she was so threatened that she slept in her office. She then attacks AOC for this obvious attempt to score points within her party, claiming there was no danger whatsoever. Here is the entire AOC livestream. youtu.be/fWNWoNaImQAMy recap - Guy gets into her office as she is hiding, does not announce himself as an officer. As someone who receives death threats, she's scared. Uh, sounds reasonable. Officer tells them to go to x building (presumably the Longworth) and doesn't specify a location. They go to the building, but are unable to locate one of the two offices. She finds Porter's office and barricades there. (Seems to cover the part where you're talking about door hinges and glass) I'm going to guess you've never been involved in a traumatic event like a shooting, a bank robbery, a hostage situation, etc. I have. I was escorted at gunppint by a SWAT team down the middle of a street. I thought I was going to die every single minute until I got back home. It is perfectly, absolutely freaking normal to have that adrenaline response.

I get it that you wouldn't think what AOC did was appalling. I simply put it in the perspective of a black person, since it was directed towards them. You're like the media, if it doesn't go along with your thoughts, even if it's true, you'll find a way to bash it. When you call things dumb, or someone dumb, it must make you feel superior, and all cozy inside, since you do it all the time. If that's what it takes, have at it. Pitiful.

I never saw the incident you're referring to. (And you can call me names, it's alright, I'll live)...but I make no attempt to understand how a person of a different race feels. That's extremely insensitive, just so you know. The news or whatever you are talking about is not relevant to my point. The greater overarching point here is a lack of recognition on your part. What I'm tired of is your one-sided, follower approach. If we're going to drag AOC through the mud as a trauma survivor, can we hold the same for the people you care about?

And I deleted that after thinking about it because I don’t want my perspective to be shaped like that. But I'm capable of free thought and you seem to just leech off of hate posts. So what does that say? The OP has an obvious aversion to the truth that you consistently latch on to without fail. Glass houses and stones. I at least make an effort to post in good faith. Dragging victims based off of propaganda posts? Would you mock victims of sexual assault? Where does that line get drawn? I'm LOL'ing with the whole "If the news wants to be honest" spiel because Fox has given a platform to those that were in the Capitol (only on one side of the aisle, of course) and the spin is pathetic.

And, my op was on this matter was to Alometer. I was following up on her manipulation tactics. I agree with some of what you post here Ryan, but I also agree with what some others say as well, so I don't "follow." Is that ok?

At the time of her encounter with the "white" capital policeman wearing a beanie and having an "angry" look, she knew her assumption thinking marauders were outside her office/bathroom door was completely wrong. The evacuation seems orderly and peaceful. The theatre from her thereafter that was for political effect and FAKE. To extoll that sort of behavior thinking it is beyond reproach because it was in her head and who can question that is cultish indeed. If her encounter with "mostly peaceful" protesters were like the scene shown below, she may have had a point. But it wasn't that way, was it? duckduckgo.com/?q=Scenes+of+Antifa+intimidating+Rand+Paul&t=chromentp&iax=videos&ia=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DAjytyaCz4Ss I recall the outrage from the Left for this attack on our Federal legislators....NOT.

And if you want to agree with him, go for it. I'd pick better friends myself, but that's just me. This is the problem...All of this minute garbage takes awwy and diminishes the fact that Trump supporting white nationalists stormed the Capitol less than a month ago and people died. Hate speech was amplified and given platform by several people in power, which costs actual lives of human beings. And we're debating a House member's speech patterns playing off to a crowd? Really? It's like saying Jewish space lasers are "funny"....like someone said on this board. We are focusing on the absolute wrong things.

I'm not believing, yet, that she was in any immediate danger at the Capitol building, but she'll try to take advantage of situations like that to help her stay relevant. But, I do believe that if some of those rioters got a hold of her, she would've been in serious danger. That was real. By the way, kudos to you for deleting that.

You skipped the part where she says she was in the basement and the rioters were trying to break through the door into the basement hallway where she was. Apparently they had stealth technology that allowed only her to see and hear them, Illuminati connections that erased all video footage, and Men-In-Black mind erasers that prevented Capitol Police from reporting the Cannon Building siege against the underground glass doors. Here is your YT link with the time queue: youtu.be/fWNWoNaImQA?t=3208

I don't think the biggest progressive face of the party has to do anything to stay relevant. She's not Bernie Sanders in terms of age and she's wildly popular given her non-standard rise to a position of notoriety in Congress. She appeals to a LOT of the younger crowd with her platform. I'd take AOC on a loop over men like Tommy Tuberville, who was as a terrible football coach and is also a terrible member of the Senate.

Tuberville, just another ostrich. Does he think the fact he was "out of town", and the weather was bad excuses him from reading or watching the news?

Not to step on Ryan's experience, but I was in a bank robbery at the B of A in PB in 1983. I (along with everybody else in the bank) was forced to lay on the ground.."first one that moves is dead!) 3 guys, 2 handguns..one Uzi. I was literally looking at the cracks in the foor tiles .. figuring out way to get into one. If AOC felt danger.. how can you say she is embellishing? If you think your life is in danger.. how do you lie about it?? Katie Porter corroborates by the way. She has had her life threatened many times by exactly the same type of people that broke in. Heck, I've seen comments on the FOX news feed talking about doing her harm.
