Needs to be noted that he had those stats at a JC and that he shot just 33% from outside. But given his final list he's obviously in demand. www.zagsblog.com/2021/04/30/junior-college-star-rivaldo-soares-names-final-6Soares broke down his top six:San Diego State: “Great school, and they always have pros. They want me to come in and be myself.”St John’s: “Really get up and down, they play fast. Coach [Steve] DeMeo was one of the first coaches to recruit me. I like their style of play.” Florida: “Big-time atmosphere. They get you better, and they always play the right way. They have a great staff.” Oregon: “Coach [Dana] Altman and Coach Mike [Mennenga] are good people, they talk a lot about development which is big for me. And Oregon continued to be in the tournament.” Oklahoma State: “Coach Mike [Boynton] and staff have done a great job, He is a really good coach. And looking to continue their run to more NCAA Tournaments.” DePaul: “Coach [Tony] Stubblefield is trying to bring DePaul back to the top. My teammate and friend just committed there; it’s a great opportunity.” His former teammate, Philmon Gebrewhit, committed to DePaul Thursday.

Maybe this is the year Dutch goes all in with a bigger/longer bench and tries to have a couple extra sitting learning the "System" waiting for next year because they are going to have a big turn over after this season.
Dutch still as 1 or 2 scholarships available this year along with the 2 Super Senior waivers (Pullim and Tomiac) that do not count against the cap number(13 scholarships, basically 15 this year)
With the increase of players in the system it could really make for better competition at practice and also increase the learning curve for the newer players.

Unless something crazy happens, say a TyTy changes his mind, there will be no more freshmen added this year... also, unless someone that is nit in the portal today enters the portal, there will be no more sit one to play one guys coming to State. There are a few more 3/4 guys out there that Dutch and Co are recruiting hard, but they would all be able to play this year and they will only be taking one more from that group.

I heard we are in the mix and potentially getting a 2/3 player from Duquesne. They wouldn’t say his name but said it was us and another school. I have no idea who but he is apparently a really good player. For what it’s worth and that might not be much. I just hadn’t heard that yet.

Of those 1500 plus young men who think other schools need them, what percent will now be out of a scholarship for a free education?

Thanks for saving us the time. 42% 3PT shooter as a freshman is nice. He's Dominican (per his Tw feed). Also, left-handed. We seem to be going southpaw this recruiting season.

Of those 1500 plus young men who think other schools need them, what percent will now be out of a scholarship for a free education? Probably less than a handful, other than those who were already walkons who are in the portal. The group hurt most may be lower tier HS & JC recruits.

That would be a terrific add IMO. Really played well against a damn good Richmond team in their tourney. Struggled against Top teams overall, but being a FR it's not too surprising. Seems like a Che clone but talent is talent.

Add 6'8" 220 Steffon Mitchell from B.C. Aztecs in his top 4 along with, Utah, Minnesota and Texas A&M. Dutcher pedal to the metal on transfers.

What's the latest on BRYSON WILLIAMS from UTEP/Fresno? His game and size seems to be a good fit for what the Aztecs are looking for.
He seems to have dropped off the map nobody is talking about him anywhere and he really seems like a solid player on both sides of the ball.
