So, you also blame people like Dr. Fauci and others who initially thought that it wasn't going to be this bad in the beginning, I take it? Trump was listening to people like him and others. There were a lot of unknowns at the time. Yet another deflection. Time to wave the white flag. Good luck, man. I hope you come to your senses at some point. I'm not saying that Trump couldn't have done any better, but in this case, and I firmly know that he doesn't always listen to his advisers, he was listening to them. And, talking about deflection, you can't even admit that others, including Dr. Fauci were uncertain about this disease and what it was going to do in the beginning. With the lockdowns, comes increased instances of drug and alcohol dependence. Who's fault is that? With the lockdowns, comes increases in domestic violence and child abuse. Who's fault is that? With the lockdowns, comes business failures, jobs permanently lost and countless bankruptcies? Who's fault is that? With the lockdowns, comes a difficult and possibly impossible ElHi education for our children. Who's fault is that? With the fear of Covid infecting prison populations, we let criminals free who then sometimes again victimize the innocent. Who's fault is that? With the fear of over burdening the medical system with Covid patients, comes the delay of needed elective medical procedures and missed preventative medical visits causing suffering and worse medical outcomes. Who's fault is that? A list like this could go on and on. Regardless, our perdicament is brought about by the Chinese Communist Party primarily and everything else is noise. Then there are other decisions, like Cuomo's keeping the Covid sick in nursing homes and that cost lives, for example. Not Trump's fault. The average American is not used to nor comfortable with totalitarianism, so lockdowns are only partially effective. Who's fault is that? Trump's way of dealing with this pandemic isn't the way his political opponents would like to deal with it. They say, pathetically, give me power and all will be fixed for you. But with their track record of lies and knee jerk opposition of Trump regardless undermines their argument. We have 50 states and all are incubators of solutions. Has a Democrat controlled State anywhere solved the Covid problem? Oh right...but for Trump they would have. Oh brother  |

OK, so instead of the bull$#!+ we post on here..How bout a real life situation and you can respond (without cut and paste). So my wife and I were just hiking locally this morning and a couple in their late 50's or so approach us on the trail. it's a fairly narrow trail, so we put on our masks and step aside so they can pass. The guy says to us "you dont need to put a mask on, this is America!". So what is the guy trying to tell us? If its America, that means I can wear a mask anytime I want..right? If he has a problem with it, is he mingling freely so he can join the herd immunity? How bout Tucker, Laura Ingraham, Hannity etc. are they joining the "herd"?. My money is on they are hiding in their bunkers like the old guys in this discussion prolly are..

So my wife and I were just hiking locally this morning and a couple in their late 50's or so approach us on the trail. it's a fairly narrow trail, so we put on our masks and step aside so they can pass. The guy says to us "you dont need to put a mask on, this is America!". So what is the guy trying to tell us? If its America, that means I can wear a mask anytime I want..right? If he has a problem with it, is he mingling freely so he can join the herd immunity? How bout Tucker, Laura Ingraham, Hannity etc. are they joining the "herd"?. My money is on they are hiding in their bunkers like the old guys in this discussion prolly are.. Just curious, when you say cut and paste, do you mean pasting actual quotes from people that said the exact same thing you accuse other people of saying? And could it be possible that both sides including health officials on both side are responsible for all the confusion and misinformation given to the general public and even the President regarding the Covid-19 outbreak? Something I've wanted to address - Restarting the economy, as the president is advocating (among others), isn't as simple as it sounds in theory. Most economists are in agreement that restoring the economy has to be done through a lens of restoring public health and trust. People are not going to flock to malls when they re-open. Consumer confidence is going to be low. Many, many layers of nuance to the idea exist.

Removing the head of BARDA because he disagreed with the implementation of an unproven drug that the White House touted as a gamechanger during the height of this crisis is a serious problem.

So the president and vice president have both now likely been exposed to COVID-19. The president today in a briefing mentioned that the vice president was tested recently and was negative, but the idea of Pence going through the Mayo Clinic without protective gear is even more troubling now.
