We shot 51.9%/45.8%/94.7%, this is our best shooting team i can remember. We have gone through dry spells offensively but that will happen to teams, special performance all around

I feel like we are getting better faster than expected. Great day. I have to be wondering just what's going on in the minds of the McDaniels boys today. They are great kids so this isn't a slight - just curious if they feel a bit "Oopsie-daisies" right now. I disagree with Rocky on some things....However, I agree with him on many others.... I don't think the Mcdaniel boys have two thoughts about SDSU.......they've moved on and are owning their decisions.....as most kids do! |

That could have got so out of control in the first half. That late little run to get it under 10 points was absolutely crucial to the eventual win. It wasn't any big secret what they were doing wrong: Ball security and boxing out was atrocious; Dutch could correct that at half.
Once he/they did... Game on!

As gut wrenching as loses can be, weekends like this make being a diehard fan so worth it. Super pumped to have a team to really get excited about.

Two wins this weekend, by an average of 20+ points.  The five players Dutcher had on the court in the last 3 or 4 minutes was just a little under-sized, (Wetzel, Matt, Jordan, KJ, and Flynn), but that's some serious offensive firepower. |

Mitchell is always on the floor in the final 5 minutes of the game when it counts the most so it really doesn't matter that he's not starting. In fact, you can make the case he's more important coming off the bench so there is still strong scoring power on the court when some of the starters come off.

Flynn was in full on “X” mode in the 2nd half. He was unstoppable just like X his last season. All I ask is health, these guys will take care of the rest. Incredible heart, toughness, grit ... and this was a great game that will serve us well all season. GO AZTECS!!! |

I’m old enough to remember when we struggled to score 50 in a GAME. Damn nice luxury to be able to drop 50 in a half.

And how about the discipline from N. Mensah and Schakel! Last year, they were foul machines, this year they are playing much more in control and not having to sit as much with foul trouble.

I’m old enough to remember when we struggled to score 50 in a GAME. Damn nice luxury to be able to drop 50 in a half. there were some years in there where our offense was unwatchable ISO ball..I couldn't stand it. love this movement, heart and shooting. |

For frame of reference re the scoring... Do recall we scored like 9 points in the first half at Laramie like 7 years ago.
That was absolute low-tide.
