standiego was pointing out that FCS programs are competing with teams from the FBS. In this case a P5 program. While he got the conference wrong he posted the example because of clueless comments like this. "Whhhhhhy are we playing Weber State?" "Play a reeeeaaaaaal school" "They literally aren’t on our level. We should only play FBS. Avoid “cupcakes”" "What do you not get about scheduling building respect and playing someone on our level vs playing against a low tier, FCS?" The FCS school lost. Minnesota doesn’t look better for playing them. No respect was GAINED for MN. Zero benefit happened to Minnesota for scheduling this “tough” FCS opponent. FCS and FBS aren’t the same level. How does playing Weber State gain SDSU any positive attention? It’s a worthless game. Go check out Minn’s fans reactions (I didn’t), but it’s obvious. “Why are we playing...”. And you're still a clueless wonder!! |

Brady is a defensive coach. Yes, thats how bad our offense is, Brady would come in and move the ball. He doesn't know the playbook, any of the calls and signs. He would fail miserably. I think what you are looking for is a Head Coach to step in and tell the OC that this is enough, just pound the ball from now on. |

isince weber state held the Aztecs to 6 points, I'd say we were playing at their level or they were playing at our level. just one solid or lucky play would have turned this laugher into a loss. if this is what we can expect from this year's version of Aztec football, I doubt he crowd count would go over 35k for Alabama, Notre dame, Clemson, Ohio state, any Florida team, any Texas team, or you name it. it was a win and 1-0 is better than 0-1, no matter the opponent. for now I'll go along with an earlier comment: Horton is hiding and saving the good stuff for ucla. time for a football win against l a.
