Speaking of Nevada - a 7 seed? I am definitely picking against them, smallish team and trending in the wrong direction. Texas has been really up and down this year. It’s the best draw UT could have possibly gotten as a 10 seed |

West bracket. Sweet 16 would be in LA. I can't quite afford the $1200 flight to Wichita but I'm 100% going to LA if we make it. From where? I don't know where you are but flights from San Diego, LA, Bay Area to Wichita Kansas is $388 round trip. Whoa, where do you see them for $388?! This is what I am showing:  |

Someone posted a thread saying Houston opened as a 3.5 pt favorite. Then I'm not conceding. That's pretty low considering how much the Selection guy spoke about them. No. The spread is right where it should be. Honestly, the spread can be estimated by comparing the two teams respective Kenpom rating. They are about 30 spots ahead of us, I usually think of that as 3-4 points on a neutral court. |

Houston is much better than a 6 seed. Would've preferred any of the other 6 seeds, plus 5 seed Ohio St (who isn't good). Houston just lost to 2 seed Cincy today by a point. This game is NOT easy. Even a 12 seed vs Clemson would’ve been better. We never seem to catch a break with seeding Seriously!?!!? The second round game for a 12 plays the one seed!!!!! Reconsider your thoughts!!! |

This is a scary matchup and I think Houston has been playing much better than a 6-seed. On top of that, they beat Cincy earlier this year and took them to the wire earlier today in their conference championship - and Cincy plays very good defense (like us).
As another poster said, we're gonna need to keep up our hot shooting - probably from outside, too, as I think they have some pretty big bodies down low.
It sounds weird, but if we can get by Houston, I think we get by Michigan.

they pull 1 guard off the bench @ 6'3
I gotta say... team looked much bigger on the broadcast.. As for Nevada, 6'3, 6'7, 6'7 (guards) so which team is bigger?

If Kell has to do it all again, I don't like our chances. Other guys better step up big. I just have this hope that McDaniels shows up in a big way. He's so damn good for being so young.

That article is talking about surprise runs in conference tourneys. Nobody should be surprised the AAC 3 seed Houston got to the tourney championship game, and nearly won it. Just like nobody should be surprised Ohio St got knocked out early in a bad Big 10. I’d still rather play the team that lost early in their conference tourney than the team that took a 2 seed to the wire today. |

I think I know why Kenny Smith was all over Houston. He has an affinity for them since he played in Houston during his pro career. I'm not saying that he's wrong, but he was all over them.

Have you not seen what thick bigs like Jordan Caroline do to Pope & McD? Hell, even Furstinger caused issues for stretches, and he’s bad. |
