Houston will be tough, but get by them and the bracket is wide open for a tremendous run by the Mighty Aztecs.

Houston is not a tall team, but they have beefy guys. We have the length, defense and can go up tempo as well. As long as we win the rebounding war we'll be alright. I think Houston is overrated. From looking at their schedule they really haven't beaten anyone. Huh? They've beaten some VERY good teams this year.

Houston is much better than a 6 seed. Would've preferred any of the other 6 seeds, plus 5 seed Ohio St (who isn't good). Houston just lost to 2 seed Cincy today by a point. This game is NOT easy. Even a 12 seed vs Clemson would’ve been better. We never seem to catch a break with seeding

Houston got screwed getting us this early. I was worried we would get West Virginia, Arizona, or Duke again. I am very happy with this. We are undeniably more talented. not sure if we win, but across the board we match up well. these guys are just like Nevada.

Kenpom sees Ohio St as a better team than Houston. Ohio St lost in their first conference tourney game to Penn St. Houston beat 4 seed Wich St then lost by a point to 2 seed Cincy in their conference championship game. Which team would you rather play right now? It’s been shown in the past that momentum before the tournament is a poor predictor of tournament success.

Speaking of Nevada - a 7 seed?

West bracket. Sweet 16 would be in LA. I can't quite afford the $1200 flight to Wichita but I'm 100% going to LA if we make it. From where? I don't know where you are but flights from San Diego, LA, Bay Area to Wichita Kansas is $388 round trip.

So I'm anxious to see the spread. If it's double digits against us, then I'll concede.

Speaking of Nevada - a 7 seed? They're too beat up. They'll lose to Texas unless Bamba doesn't play or NEV shoots the lights out.

Except they’re deeper, bigger and better. watched their game, they are not better than Nevada IMO. they are not THAT much deeper, they go with 3 off the bench primarily because thats where their size, interior defense, and rebounding is with Zanna and White. Our length in the front and backcourt is going to cause them problems.

+3.5. Kansas vs Penn is only 14.5. There are a lot of 55/45 type games this year. The talent gap is shrinking.

Speaking of Nevada - a 7 seed? I am definitely picking against them, smallish team and trending in the wrong direction.

Our length in the front and backcourt is going to cause them problems. I’m not saying we can’t or won’t beat them. I’m saying we got a really tough draw as none of the other 6 seeds are as good. And there are at least two five seeds who aren’t as good as Houston.

At first glance, I'm not too keen on this matchup. But we'll see as the week progresses.
