Did some one mention Vanessa Nygaard ( Carlsbad ) played 6 years in WNBA , was assistant coach at Stanford and coached LA Wind-ward to state open championship this year - ranked #3 in nation ? No to Nygaard, don't think she would be a good fit here at all. If we want a coach in the mold of Beth Burns go after Karen Weitz from Centennial HS Las Vegas, NV. Absolute national powerhouse from a school with no resources

I wrote JDWicker and asked what his plans are for the women's basketball coaching job. He wrote back and said, he is sticking with Terry and supports her whole hardly.
Oh well, guess we have to put up with a bottom feeder for who knows how long. JDW doesn't have the will to improve that sport.

I mentioned her because she has the credentials but also the passion. She absolutely loves the game and her energy is off the charts. If she ever decides to move into college as a head coach she’s going to have an unbelievable program. If you’ve never met her you just don’t understand what she would bring to the table. But it appears per a post above we may be stuck with Terry for another 3-5 years until we end up firing her.

I really hate to say this, but I think our programs will be hosed as long as Wicker remains AD. Although I don't like to judge a book by its cover, but when he speaks he just comes across as too weak to fight for our athletics. We'll need a strong AD because the CSU dickheads put the screws to us by hiring that inexperienced president we're going to be stuck with. I'm really fearful that her track record misses an ability to further our academic standing and unfamiliarity of sports.

And the story is out in the U-T this a.m. that Beth Burns has settled with SDSU--to the tune of $4 million. Nice payday, Beth. Too bad she still isn't in charge of the women's program. And the termination was handled so well by the SDSU administrators.

With the announcement that Stacie Terry is engaged to Hutson that makes the whole not giving her an extension so much easier. Also helps them with not having to deal with a long distance relationship.

The scary part of the Love triangle is that according to some of the talk (several years ago) ... about the Burn's firing occurred shortly after Hutson came back from UNLV. Roamers then suggested that the money needed to rehire Hut came from the women's program and that's what pissed off Burns and she went after the AD. The AD found a way to get her off his back, with the fake battery incident. The replacement for Burns was S. Terry ....... wow how things come full circle and 4million $

oops! on rumor (it won't be my last oops)
edit ... Terry had nothing to do with Burns situation, and nether did Hutson. Sterk and Hirshman seemed to however, according to the latest court findings.
I was just looking at the whole sequence of events and wondering ....
Facts are:
1. JD Wicker was SDSU’s Deputy Athletic Director from 2011 until leaving for Georgia Tech in July 2015. Hum, I guess he was here at the time. 2. April 15,2013 Justin Hutson was announced to return to SDSU. 3. Eight months after signing a five-year contract, Burns resigned on April 16, 2013. . 4. Stacy Terry was named head coach May 15, 2013 5. April 6, 2018 Hutson tells the press S. Terry is his fiancé, supposedly for the first time.
Hummmm?
Now remember what this thread was all about in the first place. As I read it, it was about the continuing employment of the WBB head-coach, Terry.
Rereading JD's response to my inquiry about WBB future status seems a bit more understandable based upon the facts. I mean, as many of you have stated a 59-93 w/L record is not filled with Aztec pride.
I remember when this pro board (or was it the old one) kicked around all the events in 2013, surrounding Burn's "retirement" . Chatter and speculation ran wild. I guess many of you were not here then, so my bad for thinking so.
I'm gone

Didn’t Hutson introduce coach Stacy as his fiancé during the press conference yesterday. I imagine that one they tie he knot she will probably be actively looking to relocate up north. We need to start looking
