Mizzou fan here. I wanted to say first off, that if the news is true, I wish you all success in finding a replacement for Jim Sterk. Secondly, I really hope that you end up in the Big XII. I met some SDSU fans in Columbia in 2010 (sorry to bring that up) and they were really cool and I have generally rooted for San Diego State since then. I have read the bio for Jim Sterk so I won't ask about that, but I was a little curious about his personality. Our last AD was pretty standoffish with fans/donors and never fit in. I am hoping that Mr. Sterk will be more personable. Kind of an odd geographic fit but other than that we are very excited. I've met him once before a basketball game in San Jose a couple years ago during an Alumni get together at a local restaurant. He was easy to approach and spent about 5 minutes just talking to me and answering my questions about the Big 12 lol. He's a good guy. You're extremely lucky to have him. I wish him and your school the best. Appreciate it. You'll get a good AD and I doubt it affects your fate in terms of realignment.

If the rumors are in fact true, is there any way we can get Marshall Faulk to be our AD even if only an interim AD?!

It sounds like whoever was in charge of hiring at Missouri went after the exact opposite of your former AD. Sterk is the biggest schmoozer around. Donors and boosters will love him. He's very approachable and available.

I first met him while in grad school, so he likely knew I wasn't a major donor, and he still took the time to chat, and it didn't feel forced, or going through the motions. I think he did great job here. Hope it works out for all parties.

All the posters here that have been complaining about Sterk can rejoice! Your WISH HAS COME TRUE!

OK well I guess that leaves just two questions. One, who's the replacement going to be; and two, will sdcoug now become mocoug? (joking coug, don't get carried away)

Wonder if we can get Moosbrugger back from BG? Or what about Ky Snyder?

So I guess the big question here is...who's going to replace him? Please hire someone better than a Mike Bohn retread, please!

Loss for SDSU. It will be hard to find a comparable replacement.

To Missouri?! www.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/columnist/dan-wolken/2016/07/13/missouri-tigers-barry-odom-mack-rhoades/87051140/" Missouri is in a rough place right now, and not just athletically. Enrollment and donations are down. Dorms have closed because the rooms aren’t being filled. The protests last fall, which were at least somewhat an outgrowth of the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., shined a spotlight on racial relations that has made recruiting African-American athletes and non-athletes even more challenging".
Is he just that HARD UP for a P5 employer or does he think he can make wine out of water?

We were invited into a Mizzou tailgate that nite and enjoyed how friendly and interested in the Aztecs everyone was . So I'll just conjecture that "cool" was us😎. We damn near pulled the upset.

Good for Sterk. He did a great job at SDSU. Unfortunately non p5 schools don't have the cash to keep top personnel. Fisher is an exception to that.
