isn't he a guard ? was he looking at SDSU or USD ? I doubt he's lining up visits to walk on at SDSU, so pretty sure it was USD who has a scholarship opening. UNR could use more bodies, but they really need a big body more than anything. They're hurting inside. But bodies are bodies, and they only have 3 guys to play the #1/#2, plus W/O's. BSU seems like they have several guys around 6'2/6'3, and could use more wings?? I get grad transfers & kids wanting to make moves which are better situations for them, but this late in the cycle? Right before classes start at Hartford? Really hurts a program with no time to steady the ship. Poor taste IMO. On the MW transfer thing, I thought players who transferred back to the MW had to get approval from the league, or maybe since it's a grad transfer thing it doesn't matter?

I'm guessing there's no restriction to coming back to the MWC? He played two quiet years at New Mexico before transferring to Hartford where he was the man. Apparently he likes to waffle on his decisions. : ) Pancake, waffle, crape...did nothing as a Lobo, but produced 20 points a game at Hartford, Parker U'U's first stop. Shoot 44% FG, 43% 3FG, 83% FT scored 18.9 PPG & boarded 6.5 RPG at 6'3 195. At Nevada today with all the retreads. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/61494/pancake-thomas

More of a logjam ahead of Cage & any potential 2017 & 2018 recruits. That said, they're building one hell of a program in Eugene!

The pancake man flipping around, buttering suitors up. Just make sure to keep him away from Nick Duncan.

Sophomore center Yankuba Sima is transferring from St. John's. Sima is a 6-foot-11 center from Spain who started 18 games as a freshman, averaging 7.6 points and 2.5 blocks. No direct links to any other schools yet. Highly recruited out of HS.

With the present defense the recruiting of a SG & SF coupled with Watson, combo guard, the offense should improve so they need to find a player to patrol the paint, rebound and block shots. Cheatham needs help.

Sam Cunliffe apparently requested a transfer right after ASU's game with us Saturday, and is leaving despite starting as a true FR & getting 20+ minutes a game. Crazy. He's friends with Jalen, although not sure we're a viable candidate. I'd expect to see him in Spokane.

New Williams, 6'2 PG from Santa Monica transferring from Auburn. We offered in HS www.seccountry.com/auburn/auburn-basketball-new-williams-transfer4-star on rivals, he never cracked the rotation as a freshman but played in 21 games, sat on the bench this year, 48 inch vertical leap. Will most likely be a MW or Big West transfer.

is he a mid season transfer that would want scholarship for the balance of this year, Jan 2017 ? Thought we were at our limit ? Be able to play Jan 2018 ? Or would he be coming Fall of 2017 ? red shirt all of 2017 and play starting fall of 2018 ?
