I get it, Stan. With two, possibly three scholarships available for next year, and big time need for size and rebounding, I was hoping that we landed a couple more high school players. In all fairness, I have been spoiled by our strong recruiting classes. Thank god for Jalen and Narain.

When's the last time we haven't we had a great recruiting class or added a slew of terrific players? We're fine. We add 4 very good players to a strong returning team. Few teams outside the BB's can say that.
As for HS schollies, we fell 1 player short. It's doubtful we were going to use every one - we like to save 1 for the transfer market (ideally grad this year). It's April - there are 100's of transfers out there with more to come, most of whom haven't committed anywhere. If it were July it'd be a different story.
I like where we're sitting for the 2017 class. Some solid relationships in place.

We do have 4 new guys eligible to play this year. I prefer not to delude myself and celebrate "4 new players" when we are talking recruitment. We have one new recruit, we got the other three players to commit last year.

Three of those guys have already been recruited and signed many moons ago. Those three have been on campus since 2015. To me, recruiting is referencing players to arrive on campus in the future.

Recruiting transfers is a major aspect of recruiting, and you do it knowing how it'll shape your team down the road. By signing them it took away scholarship spots from the 2016 class. Hence, it's all part of the overall recruiting picture. We didn't need to recruit 4 in 2016, and really only needed 1 or 2 as a result. Recruiting has been strong overall. If we sign 2 undergrad transfers now it impacts 2017 recruiting. They ARE tied together.

6'8 235 lb Utah State PF Grad transfer has visits. Lewis had a decent season close to 9 ppg and 6rpg with the team. Played with Utah St last year, transferred from Tulsa.

6'6 210 SG Adonyz Hernadez is on the move, ranked Top 50 Sophomore by the NBA Express between Jordan McLaughlin and Nick King. 4-star ESPN player from UCF stayed home because of a family issue. Good player. Available.

St. John’s hosted transfers 6'5 SG Justin Simon (Arizona) and SF 6'7 Marvin Clark Jr. (Michigan State) last weekend. Both would have to sit out a year before being eligible to play. Clark Signed, Simon TBD.
The Johnnies also will have Arkansas State graduate transfer Pf 6'8 Anthony Livingston on campus beginning April 28. Livingston has put up nearly 16 points and 10 rebounds over each of the past two seasons, and is one of the most productive big men on the market. He's eligible immediately, and has plenty of high-major schools in pursuit.

6'7" USC Forward Darion Clark available next season as a graduate transfer. Originally from Georgia, he was the teams strongest rebounder. When out several weeks with a separated shoulder, the team went 2-5. Closing the loop on Clark

He had a good thing going at SDSU, sit a year put on weight, feed the brain, increase BB IQ and threw it away for a few minutes in El Paso. And love the spelling of Utep. Cant wait for the I Told You So thread to begin. No bounce back Brodricks.

6'8 240 PF/C Nick Pallas is leaving UTA. The Freshman is from CA, played AAU with the Compton Magic, assume he ends up in the MWC, Big West or WCC.

Floyd can make a great impression, but playing for him for a year & beyond....... Not for everybody.
He probably burned his bridges here and wouldn't have the trust of the staff, but IMO that's unfortunate. He showed promise early & probably should have RS once hurt. I still think he could be a solid player, and would love to have him on our bench if things had gone differently.
