Aztecs top two selects this year will be to focus on Izundo 6'11 grad transfer at Center and PG 6'1 Watson out of USF. Can shoot and pass, plus a local kid from Oceanside. Watson is also considering Kansas.
However Derryck Thornton may be the key to get Watson, if Thornton goes to Kansas, then our chances go up. If Thirton goes to USC our chances drop.

I would like to see us go after Kameron Chatman the Michigan Transfer 6'8 210. Top 50 player from Oregon via Long Beach, CA. Any time a top 50 player comes up, pick up the phone and make the call. One of 26 players selected for the Jordan Brand Classic in 2014.
His recruiting rankings: Scout: 23, 6 (SF), 1 (OR) Rivals: 25, 8 (SF), 1 (OR) ESPN: 38, 11 (SF), 1 (OR)
Why do we need a 6'8 athletic forward? We lose both Allen, Shrigs and most likely Malik in 2017, leaving just Max at Small Forwad.
Id rather take Chatman over Watson in this market. We have younger PG & CG in Kell and Hemsley and invested time recruiting PGs. PGs are an easier recruit then 6'8 top 50 forward.

Musselman has really been working the recruiting / transfers , prepping to make jump toward the top of the MW I think he is top notch and won't stay in the MWC that long. He has charisma and chemistry with his players and recruits, an NBA background and now a history of winning in the MWC. And by the way, he is young and aggressive. He is all over social media, shaking hands and kissing baby's.

I'd be all for taking a talented SF, but he would be behind multiple wings here. Sure Chatman was a top 50 player at one time, but he's never played like it on the court in 2 years. As to the bolded part, absolutely no, that is poor logic. SDSU and other teams have had 2 years to review his play on the college court, he still is talented but has no where near the worth he had when people thought he was a top 50 talent (and misevaluated).

Purdue transfer Kendall Stephens and Iowa State transfer Hallice Cooke visiting soon. Getting the Martin's would be big gets for Nevada. Stephens hasn't been impressive at Purdue, an inefficient chucker of sorts. Cooke is completely 1 dimensional , but a solid shooter, if he isn't grad I don't think Nevada should use scholarship on him.

Nye Redding transferred to Wyoming from Washington State. Redding will sit out the next season, and the 6-2, 166-pound guard will sit one and play two. He joins Buddha Jones who will sit one and play three?
