Aztecs recruiting has clearly taken a big hit, and is on the downward slide ever since the rumor of the recruiting violation was reported by that ass hat Gary Parrish. They have already lost out on something like 4-5 of their top targets since that article was published. Not good at all.
Quick question: Is there any way SDSU officials can launch an investigation into which school/individuals leaked this unsubstantiated rumor that was released, and sue the F out of them for slander? No real proof, but I suspect this was leaked by officials up there in Oregon, since they have literally been recruiting the same targets SDSU has been recruiting. I mean, first Keith Smith, and now Michael Cage jr.? Something seems very suspicious regarding that School up there in Eugene......

USC is -1 scholarships in 2016. That means they will cut or lose a player between now and next fall to make room for Mathews. Which is standard. Very few return everyone. Someone will prefer to elsewhere for PT. If you can upgrade your roster you do it. |

Mathews wasn't expected to come to SDSU to begin with, and has always been a USC lean. Hands was always UCLA. The only "big hit" thus far was Cage. I think it's a little early to draw any conclusions, but sure would be nice to get one to quiet the nerves. Chairs are filling. Still a lot of good players out there. |

This post overflows with tragic irony. That's why I stated launching an investigation into the matter to potentially get to the bottom of this matter. Perhaps they should ask Jalen Mcdaniels which pac12 school sent him the texts trying to deter his decision. I don't know. This whole seems real suspicious, and was conveniently leaked right at the wrong time. Needless to say, this is NOT good news at all for SDSU. |

I would like to land either Leaf or Stanback at this point, but I'm having my doubts to be honest. Fingers crossed I suppose.... Still, would really like to know who leaked the unsubstantiated claim and nail them for it. |

To be honest, I thought Melton and Cage were both sure bets. Matthews was leaning to USC, but that will place them with 5 high profile SGs next year, some will sit or Red Shirt.
BTW we lost (3) to USC this season and (2) to Oregon (Cage and Smith vc) maybe the NCAA should be looking at them?

It would be great to get a determination from the NCAA on the status of the formal investigation prior to the NLI date. It would be great to turn some of these verbals to SDSU should the NCAA announce before the signing day that they are not launching a formal investigation. I realize that it is not very likely that the NCAA will act quickly, but given the timing of the leak from their office, they owe us it.
