I don't see the humor. Big business is excluded. Congress and Senate excluded themselves. The unions hate it but will probably get some sort of break. Yet, the average guy has to be in it. That stinks to high heaven. This bill was never thought out. It should not be funded and ultimately repealed. I am sure we can do it a lot better.

This bill should have been decided by the public vote. I still go back to my original premise that big government is not in the business to be in big business. This thing is a train wreck. America always has to learn the hard way. Obamacare became law in 2010. We had a presidential election in 2012. Romney swore that if he would repeal Obamacare if he was elected. A strong majority voted for Obama. Therefore, the public has decided. Once again, that election was not about a single issue. A bigger issue was takers against makers. Workers against loafers. The loafing takers won.

Has anyone looked up what they would pay? For me 28 years old the lowest price is $278 a month for three Dr. visits a year and $100 co pay. This is for the bottom of the barrel plan I don't even want to look at the Platinum package. Plus they only cover 40%, that would really help you in a major accident.....
I understand people need healthcare but there are other options, like maybe reduce the unemployment rate.

Democrats continued to cry to leave Iraq and pointed to it as the reason for high deficits. Oh how far we have come on paying our bills...... Presidential races are not won on one topic.

I didn't vote for the guy, but I would say the other topics he won on would have been his promises on immigration reform, energy (solar etc), he told the public Romney just wanted to start a war with Syria and Iran (no war voters), promises on education reform, support of unions, gay marriage, tax policy (tax the rich more and corporations to help the poor and pay our debt "fair share") ---- just to name a few. There is always more than just one topic that wins an election.

Yep. Sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. As opposed to mormonism, caffeine-free soda, and dressage? Yup, right guy still won.

Yes, and I am asking for your top three. Economy views, imigration reform, anti war involvement. Don't think health care was top since it was already in acted.

Lets get back to rates. My golfing partner, a retired LAPD Officer and his wife, an Anesthesiologist just received their health insurance renewal notice. The price here in California doubled. They were getting coverage through his wife's plan at work. He is now researching how much it would cost to switch back to coverage through his Police retirement plan coverage. I did not ask the dollar amount, but it had to be big if it became a topic of conversation when we usually talk about sports and investing. Thanks Obama, for disrupting the economy in a totally damaging manner.

Thanks Obama, for disrupting the economy in a totally damaging manner. Those of us that have insurance pay more. My company has dropped our insurance and went to a different provider. Rates keep going up. Like I posted earlier as a 28 year old my rate if I went on the exchange $275 a month for the cheapest of 4 plans. Only 3 Dr. Visits and $100 co pay. Affordable care act? No
