He needs to do what is best for him; we get that. Ohio State can manipulate him all they want, but if he wants to get to the NBA his best option is to be the #1 guy on the team and that will only happen here at SDSU. I may be a little biased, but this is an optimal situation for a guy like him. Optimal. Gonzaga is the second best option. Ohio State is not. He would be a second or third option on the team...not really an NBA showcase.

as noted in the article , he has kept his options open , first wanted to do well in his classes to graduate. He is in the drivers seat , all depends on where he sees as the best fit , and best option for him to develop into a NBA player. Is grad school important , being the go to guy, the team with the best opportunity to advance in March Madness , coaching staff, style of play , team mates , campus , getting on National TV - OOC and regular season. Every recruit has their own priority list, just hope we can win this recruitting battle , we definitely need a strong PF .

Is it today? Hot as hell though. He has been in New Orleans. Anything here is mild.

www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/207244361.htmlI think the odds are long that he comes to State, but this article interested me because it lists one of the suitors as being NC State. Has any player transfered out of a school only to transfer back in? (Take Juco's out of the mix)

Do not get too confident , believe he is going to Gonzaga also this week . Then could head back home to visit schools in NC , or head toward the midwest. It is his last year , wants to make the best decision to get him ready for the NBA. So he could even head to Europe and get paid. He can go back home and go over the opportunities , doubt any school that wants him is going to pull their offer .

I wonder who his player host(s) will be. My guess is either O'Brien and/or X.

Would guess X being the only senior, probable captain , a transfer , possibly close to graduating, a guard , would be a good option. for a host. Also depends on who is available if Aztecs are taking finals. Shelton could give perspective as a former grad student / player , if he is allowed to be there. Would JJ'O , possibly be out of a starting position.

Fisher on 1090 radio today , can not officially talk about recruits but did say there is a recruit on campus today . Also confirmed that there is a local recruit , that is coming from a PAC school but can not name him until he officially signs (Chol ). He said that recruiting is going on until a " dead time ' starting May 16.

I call BS on that article. Davis was mentioned as being interested in all those schools at one point, but there have been zero roomers about them for weeks. And as Stan said, there hasn't been a single report of him tripping to anywhere except SDSU, Gonzaga and Ohio State since. So it sounds like a little bird at Minnesota has thrown a small turd toward a Star Tribune reporter hungry for a story.

Wouldnt that be a recruiting violation to make official visits to campuses during the dead period?

believe Dead times are May 16- 25 , then Dead again July 6-31. Do not know how they classify transfers , graduating or not graduating. Thought after Davis finished his visit here he was heading up to Gonzaga. He could then head to OSU on the 15th or after May 25 th . He can sit back and decide on his own time unless , he wants to attend summer school and work with his new coaching staff . On the other hand , he could decide to look at more colleges or even head to Europe , get paid and see if he can get drafted by the NBA , after 1 year. Great options , depends what he wants . He has the leverage to do what works best for him. Pays to graduate . Do hope he selects the Aztecs , we need him.

How would you not enjoy a visit on a 90 degree day when all the girls are wearing their hot hot weather gear.
