Like the Oracle has said in the past, any school that is consistently or surprisingly getting elite signings is running a dirty program whether they want to admit it or not. Arizona, UConn, Baylor are all dirty programs. There is a reason why Sean Miller wanted to jump ship after he had his huge run last year at Arizona. That program is rotten to the core. The only program that is exempt from the dirty programs list and still pulls elite talent is Duke. Duke and Coach K recruits themselves. Everyone else tries very hard to compete with Duke and are willing to bend/break the rules to get there. UofA and UConn have been elite for 20 years (dirty, maybe, who knows, frankly, we need to wonder where we go scratching). Baylor is HIGHLY suspect especially since a couples of years ago player straight up murdered the ass of another, the coach covered it up, and somehow the entire campuses athletic profile dramatically increased. my lord... It does NOT get much dirtier than that Baylor incident. Its almost "Shakespearean" in its layers of deceit and betrayal. One thing that fascinates me is that none of the actions that the Coach did in paying for the players tuition would have ever been discovered had the player not been murdered. It took the kid being killed for the girlfriend to come forward and bring it out into the open. What a tragedy. very sad.

if anyone really thinks we are on the same recruiting level as UConn and/or its because they are cheating, you're delusional. not clear on my delusion - if its the Aztecs being on the same recruiting level as YouConn, then no the Aztecs are not, not quite, not yet. As for being on their level of cheating, evidence shows they do - we don't. Jamaal Franklin picked SDSU over UCONN.

Bishop Gorman plays Findlay Prep on ESPNU at 2 PM tomorrow. Time to see Winston, Bennett, et all vs Shabazz. In any case, time to see how Shepard fares against the "other" best school in Nevada.

espn.go.com/blog/high-school/boys-basketball/post/_/id/2668/stopping-muhammad-is-a-daunting-taskESPN preview of the Findlay Prep / Bishop Gorman game. When posed with the question of stopping Muhammad, Findlay Prep swingman Winston Shepard seemed instantly offended. He wore an incredulous frown and then repeated the question while shaking his head and laughing. Then he quickly pointed to the fact that in Findlay's last game against then-No. 1 Simeon (Chicago), Jabari Parker, the top-ranked player in the ESPNU 60, scored 24 points on 22 shots.
“And we won by 25,” said Shepard, a 6-8 senior. “I guarded Jabari. I’m not gonna sit up here and talk junk or anything, but I know Shabazz’s game very well.”
Shepard has been playing with and against Muhammad since the seventh grade. The pair teamed up for Dream Vision AAU.
“Shabazz is a great player, everyone knows that,” Shepard said. “But I’m gonna just come out and play my game. No player is impossible to stop.”

There are a few good candidates left for Spring period, but Shepard is definitely the guy who would best cap off the '12 class.

Man oh man oh man, he's is the PERFECT Steve Fisher player. If we could somehow land him and the Hamilton Bros, we'll win a national championship. No lies.

Winston Shepherd & his Findley Prep teammates take on a Shabazz Muhammad led Bishop Gorman squad on ESPNU @ 2pm. Great chance to see WS go heads up with #1 prospect in this year's class. Good luck Winston!

Guarding Jabari Parker and Shabazz in back to back games? That's crazy.

If this is your first time watching Shepard you now know why the people who have seen him on here really want him and why he’s our #1 target. He’s a complete player with a high basketball IQ. He would be an ideal fit for Fisher’s system and he’s a very grounded kid with no attitude.
