He should come here, unless he doesn't feel like winning a national championship next year..

if anyone really thinks we are on the same recruiting level as UConn and/or its because they are cheating, you're delusional.

if anyone really thinks we are on the same recruiting level as UConn and/or its because they are cheating, you're delusional. You know... Uconn is being probed by the NCAA because of recent infractions having to do with recruits getting gifts from boosters. You know that, right? not to mention, Calhoun was suspended the first three games of this season for violations that took place last year. They also had a limit put on to their recruiting for the '12 - '13 season. Also, their AD recently resigned because the president thought he turned a blind eye to what was going on. Thats just the tip of the iceberg.

As for being on their level of cheating, evidence shows they do - we don't.

Is UCONN officially in the mix?

Is UCONN officially in the mix? Not according to Shepard who said his final five are his final five and that he would not look at any other schools. Then again he is a young kid.

Is UCONN officially in the mix? UCONN just offered so they weren't in the mix before. He has a big game Saturday which could bring in more offers. I'm guessing his Top 5 will change once he has offers from the so called bigger programs which I'm guessing will still have 2 or 3 of the original ones. His last Top 5 was based on who had already offered. You can also add St. John's to the list of new offers.

Sure UCONN can throw an offer but can they show you the love that SDSU has to offer?

Yeah who gives a $#!+ if UCONN offers, its more than just a brand name. Does he trust the coaches, does he know anyone on the team? Does he have a chance to play right away? Does he feel like they really want him. A lot of big schools came charging at Kawhi later on and he went with SDSU. Obviously Shephard has no loyalty as of yet, but maybe I'm out of my mind, I just feel like we should be able to recruit with anyone, and we should be landing 5 star recruits. WE ARE f****** LEGIT

Like the Oracle has said in the past, any school that is consistently or surprisingly getting elite signings is running a dirty program whether they want to admit it or not. Arizona, UConn, Baylor are all dirty programs. There is a reason why Sean Miller wanted to jump ship after he had his huge run last year at Arizona. That program is rotten to the core.
The only program that is exempt from the dirty programs list and still pulls elite talent is Duke. Duke and Coach K recruits themselves. Everyone else tries very hard to compete with Duke and are willing to bend/break the rules to get there.

the Fact that UConn's violations aren't all over ESPN is reason enough to believe that they are real, and very big.

Do you guys remember how Deandre Daniels had us as one of his final schools last year? He was the 10th ranked player in the class. Well he bolted to UCONN the last second. He has started three games, but actually isn't playing all that well. Averaging about 11 minutes per game. 38.9% FG% and 1-9 on 3FG shooting.
At 6' 8", he probably would have been the man this year at SDSU.
FYI, #11/#13 UCONN just lost to Cincinatti, so if we beat New Mexico, we should surpass them in the rankings on Monday.
Also #13/#11 Indiana just lost.

I really hope Shepard chooses us. He would fit in perfectly here on next year's squad. At either one the 1 through 4 spots. Ideally at the #3 spot.
Saw the Findley prep/Simeon match up a couple of days ago, and like I stated earlier, not only was I impressed with his overall athleticism and overall defensive style of play, he does remind me a lot of Khawi. Both by his frame and overall style of play.
Not a 100% confident he will commit here, but am obviously hoping that he does.
Anyone know when he is scheduled for a visit?

Quality W for the Red and Black tonight t the pit! Jim Sterk should give Steve Fisher a blank check.
Here's to hoping Winston Shepard was paying attention to this one. I honestly don't know what more they can do to get these kids signed, sealed and delivered.

UofA and UConn have been elite for 20 years (dirty, maybe, who knows, frankly, we need to wonder where we go scratching). Baylor is HIGHLY suspect especially since a couples of years ago player straight up murdered the ass of another, the coach covered it up, and somehow the entire campuses athletic profile dramatically increased.
