Absolutely amazing ignorance. She wants to be President and couldn't pass grammar school American history test.
Okay, maybe she could pass it -- but it is pretty clear that she couldn't ace it. Paul Revere was using bells to warn the British that we would not give up our guns. That would be a real stunner if not the all of her prior stunners.
Yoda out...

Maybe she was not reading from a teleprompter.

Doesn't matter, she's not running. She's keeping her name out there so she can further fleece her base. Like taking candy from a baby.

She's not running. But she is building a base.

It sounds like she simply got some history a little turned around. If you are going to a lot of historical sites and absorbing a lot of information that is not unusual. I will cut her some slack. Not to say that I think she should be President.

Regarding knowledge of history, thank god that we have a man, someone a heartbeat away form the presidency, who is fully aware that President Roosevelt got on television to reassure the American people when the stock market crashed in 1929! ! ! ! ! !
Oh, wait a minute, something is wrong with that. Let's see. FDR was not president in 1929. Anything else? Ah, yes, there was no television with which FDR (or anyone else) could address the American people in 1929.
And people complain about Sarah Palin, a women who is not a candidate for President and in all likelihood will not be one!

It is interesting that she was right. I just wonder how many liberals are as well informed as she is. I also think that she is much better prepared or more guarded now that she knows the liberal media is just waiting for a trip up. Some folks even jump in and pile on out of ignorance or the hope that she has been tripped up. Scroll up to the top and see who it is. Yoda is really pretty well informed and makes good logical arguments most of the time. Not always right, but makes good cases for his positions. Not this time.

Sorry, watch the interview. She says he rode to warn the British. That was not the reason for Revere's ride.

Written by Revere when he was an old man and nobody knows whether it was an accurate account. Either way, there is nothing in the historical account, or that stupid poem, to suggest he rang bells or fired warning shoots at British troops. He did apparently tell the Brits who captured him that the colonists were going to fight, but I'm not sure that was information he should have given them. Dawes and Prescott did more than he did and it's likely there were upwards of 40 riders since all three were warning everyone they met that the Brits were on the march. Yet again Dave, your only contribution is the offering of right-wing links. =Bob

Such trivial nonsense. Who cares? Palin is trying to do her version of Boss Tweed. You should care because she's destroying your party. As of March, only 37 percent or so of Americans had a positive approval of her. She's clearly working to undermine Romney and it's likely she'll undermine Bachmann as well, in favor of Pawlenty, who is so boring unto death that he can't be elected barring a double-dip recession. It's not trivial, Bunky, but given the lack of understanding of politics you've shown on here, I'm not at all surprised you'd think it is. =Bob

It's not my party and I don't care what happens. I think there are bigger issues to worry about.
