As this weekend's games conclude and the regular season ends, the transfer portal has begun to open up. There are a few interesting names who have already entered. Granted that 2,000 players will submit names, so there will be many, many more to discuss, predict, criticize, and overthink.
A couple of standouts entered this week. (not ranked in any order)
1. PF, Javon Porter, 6'11 225lb stretch 4 out of Pepperdine. Son of Michael Porter played two seasons and averaged 12 PPG & 7 RPG as a frosh, 17 PPG & 6 RPG as a soph. Shoots a lot of threes, but with a career 33% average.
2. PF, Justice Ajogbor 6'10 230lb post player from Harvard. Looks to have 2 years of eligibility, averaging 8 PPG, 7 RPG, and 3 blocks. Rim protector + academic award winner.
3. SF, Houston Mallette, 6'5 185lb wing from Pepperdine. Averaged 14 points a game over 3 seasons in Malibu. This year 15 PPG, 3 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Shot 42% from three. Will submit his name to the NBA or transfer.
None are tied to SDSU.

He appeared in 22 games and averaged 18 PPG, 3 RPG, and 3 APG on 42% percent shooting from three. A 6'1" guard from Oak Park HS in Los Angeles (Calif.) He was a very decorated HS player in So Cal. His older brother, Wes, played at Dartmouth and his other brother, J.D., played at UC Santa Barbara. Three year starter at Penn, averaged 14 PPG in 74 games.

Lorenzo Romar was canned and the entire Pepperdine squad is in the portal. While commenting on California kids leaving Pepperdine, I am also curious where Cal Poly's SG 6'8 205 Kobe Sanders from El Cajon who averages 20 PPG will land.

wasn't the UW coach let go ? think he was supposed to be the best of the Aztecs recruits in the class that included Bryd , Saunders , www.seattletimes.com/sports/uw-husky-basketball/uw-mens-basketball-guard-koren-johnson-plans-to-enter-transfer-portal/"The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard averaged 11.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 21.9 minutes while starting five of 31 games this season. He shot 44.1% from the field, including 37.3% on three-pointers and 72.2% on free throws.""UW players slated to return next season include: Braxton Meah, Wilhelm Breidenbach, Nate Calmese, Franck Kepnang, Wesley Yates III, Christian King and Samuel Ariyibi.""The Huskies signed four-star recruit Casmir Chavis and received a verbal commitment from five-star prospect Zoom Diallo." There could be a lot more added after this Sunday and then as MM and NIT progress Expect a few hundred more names coming after Selection Sunday, which will be players from Mid-Majors (smaller schools), P5 role players, and players whose coaches get canned. They come in waves. There are more than 2,000 colleges, from NCAA Division 1 to NAIA schools that offer scholarships. In men's and women's basketball, the windows will open for 45 days the Monday after Selection Sunday. "In both men's and women's basketball, the council determined that a 45-day window that concludes on or before May 1 best enables coaches to understand their current rosters, provides stability for student-athletes remaining at the school as they prepare for summer basketball, and encourages student-athletes who intend to transfer to do so before final exams at their current schools and summer school application deadlines at most campuses," said Lynda Tealer, chair of the council and deputy athletics director at Florida. "Moving forward, we will continue to evaluate the impact of transfer windows on student-athletes, coaches, and athletics programs." per the NCAA.org page.

It's the hundreds other comments, speculation, and conjecture that is tiresome. And of course the self righteous indignation.

Again, is a recruiting forum. People are going to respond to what players they like and don’t. That what it is for. If you don’t like it stay on the main forum. He also liked when I told you you can go back to the main forum. So you’re point is.

That was because I clarified my comment. He has an open mind and was accepting of other people's opinions? Unlike you who will go on repeatedly telling me where to go? Continue on as the soul arbiter, just realize I will be me, as you will be you.

Continue on as the soul arbiter, just realize I will be me, as you will be you. Yeah the backhand comment. “Let me know when someone signs.” Had nothing to do with it. Again, why even comment. Oh right, it is you going you.
