Just...no. Stop endorsing s#!++y, scumbag, awful people. It's gross. Bauer is not a scumbag, stop trashing him. Trevor Bauer: - Punched an unconscious woman during sex. - Was accused by multiple other women in different states of the same conduct. - Cyberbullied a female college student. - Congratulated a man who killed two Japanese citizens while driving drunk after he was released from custody. Like...I get it. We want to root for our team and cheer vicariously through athletes. But no. We don't have to do that for the sake of doing it. Standards matter.

Bauer is not a scumbag, stop trashing him. Trevor Bauer: - Punched an unconscious woman during sex. Who asked him to do that to her. f****d up obviously. Not lifetime ban worthy. Not as bad as what Ray Lewis did. - Was accused by multiple other women in different states of the same conduct. Uh, no he was not accused of punching unconscious women in other states - stop slandering him. - Cyberbullied a female college student. In this day and age, I mean... What is cyberbullying anyways? This one is bs. - Congratulated a man who killed two Japanese citizens while driving drunk after he was released from custody. What's wrong about congratulating someone after they served their sentence? It "looks bad". But is it really bad? No. Like...I get it. We want to root for our team and cheer vicariously through athletes. But no. We don't have to do that for the sake of doing it. Standards matter. Stop slandering him.

But yeah, let's stop endorsing s#!++y people to come to our baseball team.

To put this to bed, as this is the second or third time this shitbag's name has come up...
The Padres aren't signing Trevor Bauer.
No team in MLB has even offered him a contract.
He's not returning to Yokohama.
The end.

There is NOTHING wrong with welcoming him home. I think it was his wife and brother in law that were killed (could be wrong) so he feels bad enough. Trevor played in Japan so maybe he knows the guy. Some people just are not nice in general. Consider the source.

And some people are not nice, chiefly Trevor Bauer, who is an all-around subpar human being. Your virtues on display....

Your maturity is on line with your fake morality. Sorry, some of us know people who were sexually assaulted. Some of us know what it's like to be a target of bullying. Don't lash out at others when you're clearly a walking contradiction.

The hilarious part about this is Trevor Bauer hasn't thrown a professional pitch in the majors since 2021. He's already 33. For the first time in a while, the Padres have actual upper level pitching depth that, unlike Bauer, aren't terrible human beings. But yes, please reveal yourselves, people that want to minimize sexual assault and overall douchebaggery. Like what are we doing here?

He is more then capable of pitching in MLB. He's been blackballed. Do you think that it's fair that Kaepernick was blackballed by the NFL too?

Stop digging.

This isn't some path back to righteousness. I'm not a priest, nor is Trevor Bauer worthy of absolution. The obsession with this is weird, I have to be honest. He's not coming here, it's safe to move on.

If you violate that contract, or violate any policies that go along with that contract, you reap what you sow. Hundreds of baseball players every season manage to do it without incident. A second chance? Sure. He got one, in Japan. This isn't some great redemption story - He didn't serve prison time for being wrongly convicted, he wasn't disenfranchised. Trevor Bauer doesn't know the first thing about actual hardship. I'm personally glad to not enable and make excuses for serial abusers. That's something to be proud of. At least one of us can sleep at night.

I mean he could be making millions of dollars a year in the MLB, he's been disenfranchised of the right to earn as much money as other players with similar pitching abilities. He didn't get paid near that much in Japan. Not to mention, he made the most of his time in Japan and followed the law. Isn't that deserving of recognition and another chance to play in America?

Did. It. To. Himself. No. He's done. As am I. Stop enabling abusers. Gross. This topic tends to reveal two groups of people: Those who understand that actions have consequences and the unfortunate group of males who are willing to excuse predatory behavior in the name of their favorite sports team. Trevor Bauer is not a VICTIM. The woman he assaulted while unconscious is. The other women he's likely done this to? Victims. Trevor Bauer is a multi-millionaire. Nobody should be crying for him.
