Which is what they should do. I disagree, but I don't think it's a big deal at all. He won't be there long. I hope he does well at Ft Wayne, and I hope he is promoted to the Missions at some point. The Padres should be fine this season with Higashioka and Campusano behind the plate.

Conversely, you should always be trying to improve your team. The Padres could be doing that by signing another outfielder. We are OK at catcher for now.

And then reality sets in when Campusano sustains his third concussion. The second one almost ended his career. I'm not arguing Salas should be up today, for clarification. Just that the silly notion of he's being "rushed" (based off nothing outside of his age) should be cast aside. He's going to move quickly because of his skills, both on and off the field.

You seem overly convinced the team is rushing him up, which is what I'm trying to counter here.

That's where he should be starting this season.

According to the Padres webpage, local Padres broadcasts will be on Cox channel 83.
Which, as of today, has no programming of any kind.

He can handle the jump, the weather is far more favorable and he'll see better arms. That said, I don't think he's in Fort Wayne longer than 60 days.

Good game today in another nail-biting loss for Fort Wayne. 2-5 with a two run single. Drove another ball to the warning track in right for a loud out. DH'd today after catching the night game last night.

Might be the most impressive three innings I've seen from a single prospect since Fernando.
Walked to lead off the game on a very tough 3-2 breaking ball. Singled in his next at-bat on an elevated fastball. Stole second base. Scored on an RBI double. And then threw out a runner trying to steal in the bottom half on a dime of a throw.
Wow.
