Mal continues to defy the odds. I wonder how much if any Kawhi's time with Raptors influenced their decision to draft Mal?

I like his chances to stick with the Raptors. They play a style of basketball that really suits his lack of size defensively, and playmaking ability on the offensive end

Flynn is ready made to fit into a system like these use in Toronto. We saw this gradual evolution since Dutch took over.

Flynn went 1st round because he's arguably the best PnR player in the country with an incredibly high efficiency rate in PnR situations. He did that because we run a lot of PnR offense. The NBA is a PnR league, not just Toronto. No doubt, our system is very much like the NBA in general, and it's good for our players in helping them reach the next level. Dutch's offensive sets are definitely more along these lines than Fisher's, so he definitely gets the assist with Flynn.

I just listened to a nice 16 minute interview with Malachi at raptors.com. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to post a direct link but it can be found in this website from November 19: www.nba.com/raptors/video/archive
