Flynn is a junior, so unless we add a grad transfer (i.e. Yanni Wetzell) we would only lose Narian & Feagin after the season (baring someone transferring out). My bad on Flynn, knew he has two years left. Doubt we would see another early entry to the NBA draft, unless one explodes.

That will help the 5 spot. Thank God there's no surfing in Lubbock.

Anytime you beat the National Champion runner up for a recruit you are doing something right. Yanni’s a great get.

Wonder what this means developmentally for Joel Mensah.

Wonder what this means developmentally for Joel Mensah. You would think - at least in theory - playing against an experienced big would aid in his development, even if it comes a the expense of PT. However, given Joel's game was so raw last season and the old adage that bigs require more time to develop, his loss of PT would be nominal this year anyway, and both Wetzell and Nolan only have one more year on the Mesa. I say he needs one more season in the oven regardless, so this is nothing but a good thing.

Given all the available guys out there still this makes me wonder if Nolan is planning on graduating and transferring this summer. Of course, Narain could move to the 4 where he may be better suited to play.

Dutch in 90% going over the scholarship limit and then it will pare itself down over the next two months and yes, NN is one of the candidates to leave

Not counting on boogie, Jaden or Norris but would hope staff would take commitments from the 2 transfers and figure out a spot later.

So with all the available transfers, the Aztecs land Yanni and Pulliam.

Wetzel helps immediately but Baker and Sueing are guys we can count on for two years. Jaden would be nice but if he is looking at playing one and going pro I don't think that is a good fit for our program. Boogie is likely not a one and done type player so I would consider him to be a good option as well.

Wetzell was priority #1 back in late March and we did everything possible to land him. The coaches were reaching out nonstop. As of last weekend before Boogie became available our plan was to use our last remaining scholarship on a transfer who would be sitting out next season. I don’t know if our plan has changed since but I imagine it’s who commits first. Sounds like Norris might be looking at USD above us so I’d guess it’s Baker or Sueing and wouldn’t be surprised if Baker made the move this week.

I don't even think that we are close to done signing... Look for 2-3 more players to come to the Mesa... 1-2 sit out players and 1-2 play immediately Someone else will transfer, most likely Narain but maybe Seiko If we were to get Boogie, Pulliam might decommit with would be fine Still have a chance with Jaden as well

7'3" Connor Vanover CAL transfer visiting Vandy. Findlay Prep colleague with Nathan Mensah. The only constant in NCAA BB is change and the Irony of it.

Boogie is likely not a one and done type player so I would consider him to be a good option as well. Ha ha ha!! A top five recruit wouldn’t be a good fit? Why? First of all, I am talking about "one-and-done" players in general, not Jaden specifically. Some programs can thrive with these kind of players though they often struggle early. But once in conference play their RPI, or whatever the hell we are using now, improves and they get the benefit of the doubt by the selection committee that their early season struggles were because of inexperience. We don't get that B.O.D. Second, for Jaden specifically, he isn't announcing until very late which means he misses the summer sessions. I don't care how talented someone is, you need as much experience prior to the season with your teammates as possible. Third, I have issues with a player spending his freshman year auditioning for the pros. That tends to be their priority, not the team. Again, I am not saying that Jaden would be a guy like this but I watched UNLV recruit these "one-and-doners" and miss out playing in the post season more than not. And, finally, I wouldn't pass up either Sueing or Baker for the hope of landing Jalen. I'm a "bird-in-the-hand" sort of fella.
