During yesterday's game it was impossible not to appreciate how hard Skylar works for SDSU. His defense is always there and his rebounding has been markedly improved this year. We are really going to miss him on the defensive end next year. Having Allen slide in and take over that responsibility would be such a full great Aztec full circle with his dad-then Skyler-then him protecting the paint. Hope this happens.

He's been our best player this year Not sure he is our best player but I bet Fisher would use words like most important player or one of the most important players. I really like what he adds this year. Getting his free throw percentage up was a great accomplishment.

Skylar is one of the most underrated on the team , more plays should be run for him instead of the guys taking the threes
Would be great if Leonard Allen would play here and play some D and rebound , two great needs for 2016 -17 team

I think they should run that play Shep to Skylar for dunk or layup until somebody proves capable of stopping it! Seems like it works all the time. Even Chol has better hands lately. I think combined Chol/Spencer were 7-9 FG= 14 points and 14 Boards......very nice production from the #5 position.....great game guys! Sky is The Human Eraser #2!

Sky and Z were 7-7 inside (Cheatham 1-1 shooting 3s). On those 7 baskets, Winston had 5 assists for dunks, Z had a put back, and Skylar had a back to the basket possession. When Shepard drives and has Sky and Z ready to roll, he will get fouled or an assist very often. He will need to add a kick to Kell or Hemsley to that situation or help defense will limit his options. Shepard's other assist was on a Hemsley 3.

There is no doubt in my mind that our strength is in our front line and the guards attacking the basket . There is no team in MW that can match up with our front court players , Winston, Zylan , Malik , Dakari, Skylar, Angelo for 40 minutes and we only get stronger if forced to OT . The coaches recruit these guys for a reason - dominate the other team . Realize our strength , use it and stop trying to hit the over abundant threes . Our front line has faced a zone or two in every game , yet won the battles in the paint , by better talent and execution , even with our outside shooters only making 27% of the threes.. Keep the guys in motion , more passing and attacking the basket 48% on two point shots .

Ok so back to the point of this post is Leonard Allen considering playing here or who is recruiting him? The staff has been out to watch him play, he was a 3-star kid out of HS. I havent seen any offers, but think given the legacy there is interest as a preferred walk-on. My opinion.

Is he eligible to transfer and play for SDSU after one year in JC? If he was a "qualifier" (academically eligible) straight out of high school (which I believe he was), and his academics at JC are fine, then yes.

I think we are lucky enough to get him. There's definitely other interest, so let's hope he likes what we have to offer.
Not sure why people are saying walk on. That doesn't make sense to me at all

Coach Hutson has been out to see him play, he is still rail thin, so that's a downside. Much better offensive game than Sky.

From Wed 2/10 SDCC Basketball:
"Leonard Allen dominated the painted area on Wednesday night and recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 23 points and a season-high 20 rebounds in the Knights' 93-71 home victory over Cuyamaca."
On Friday night he had 14 boards, 9 points and 5 blocks versus Mesa.

Honest question why are people convinced this guy is a big difference maker? And don't answer with his parents genes
