Cage has really dropped. Oregon is pretty stacked he may not see much playing time.

Our coaching staff does not like to get big timed. Justin Simon did it to us out of high school and he'd love to come here now but our staff won't take him because of how he and his family treated SDSU when we recruited him. Thought he was too good for us and now look at him, he'll probably end up at New Mexico.

Chris mullin picked up a couple of huge transfers, including Simon, and a solid recruiting class and are going to be really good, really soon.

While he would be a 'good' player in the MWC, he plays soft and seems almost disinterested in playing basketball. If he wasn't the son of Michael Cage, I doubt this kid would even be playing basketball.

believe this thread is about Jalen . Stay on topic . If you want to debate Cage Jr then go start a separate thread .

Jalen is a traditional Fisher/Hutson/Dutcher recruit. He is long and athletic and has ton of upside. He has really come on as player in his final two years. His team has been really successful. I could see him developing into a great player eventually.

sorry forgot to list the other MW recruits rated in the top 150 by Rivals also ..... Ramsey #118 by Reno ... do not see others ? Nolan was originally 2016 but finished HS early and red shirted , would have been a top 100 , but came to SDSU last year and red shirted so is not listed.
Understand once you get past top 25 there is no science to predicting difference between 50 and 150 . PAC did well again .

I could see him developing into a great player eventually. The fact that he grew 2-3 inches in the last year changed his upside from a solid wing to a PF/C with guard skills. He's extremely skinny because of the growth spurt but once he gets stronger he could be really good. He's not a shot blocker but his foot speed and quickness is excellent for a 6'10 player. Hope he's able to push for a few minutes next year.
