Double-edge sword... not sure we're a player here... and this could drastically affect M.J. Cage.

Does this put MJ in jeopardy? AZ, is going after nearly every big man on the market now.

Unless Cage goes to UofA and Leaf goes elsewhere, this isn't a bad thing for SDSU. Not sure if he is going to be looking at the Aztecs again but he sure wasn't when he was already committed.

This is from Leafs Compton Magic AAU coach on Scout.com: "...The decommitment is only a few hours fresh, but Udo-Ema has heard from a long list of schools. "Everybody," Udo-Ema said. "I just got off the phone with John Calipari. I've talked to Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, California, Oregon, everybody. I have a lot of phone calls to return." Two of Leaf's Compton Magic teammates in Ike Anigbogu and Jalen Hill are committed to UCLA and another has the Bruins as one of his favorites in Jaylen Hands, so it's logical to assume that Steve Alford and company will be involved with Leaf as well...."

Double-edge sword... not sure we're a player here... and this could drastically affect M.J. Cage. collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/06/five-star-2016-forward-t-j-leaf-de-commits-from-arizona/related/"Leaf was Arizona’s lone commit in the class, and with three seniors in the front court this decision has major implications for Sean Miller and his staff as they look to put together their next class of freshmen. The Wildcats will lose Kaleb Tarczewski, Mark Tollefsen and Ryan Anderson at the end of the 2015-16 season, leaving Dusan Ristic, Rekwon Smith and Chance Commanche as front court players with eligibility remaining beyond the upcoming season. It should be noted that Arizona is in the running for multiple high-level front court prospects, including De’Ron Davis, Schnider Herard, M.J. Cage and Mitch Lightfoot. Those recruitments become more important in light of Thursday’s news."

After reading Zeigler's article about him possibly reclassifying and playing in Israel for a year, then going pro, I retract my original comment. This is not good for us as now MJ Cage has a better shot at going to UofA hs.utpreps.com/news_article/show/541495

That is even more likely now. Does Leaf want us, when UK and all the others are calling? Not optimistic about this development at all.

Leaf isn't coming to SDSU. Arizona now having more interest in Cage is worrisome.

Leaf isn't coming to SDSU. Arizona now having more interest in Cage is worrisome. Doubt it changes that, leaf is a 4 all the way, they will continue to recruit PF's they need. AZ doesn't need a center for 2016, and no one is recruiting cage for pf.
