How did playing in Israel work out for Jeremy Tyler? Was it a quicker route to the NBA? Or, did it take him even longer to get to the NBA than finishing HS with a one & done would have? Oh, and is he really tearing up the NBA now? Maybe the D League again. Sad story. He or whoever advised him made some poor decisions. Have seen it on this board that he was lazy and never really went all out after it. he'll get picked up again, looked pretty good this summer. and yeah he is making decent money.

I'm wondering more about Cuban leaf coming back on the market! Havana hand rolls could be good!

Oh, and is he really tearing up the NBA now? He wouldn't have got drafted as a one and done. He made NBA and got some years, not bad

Just repeating what I read on Facebook but someone with "inside information" is saying TJ has already signed with Adidas who will be funding him to play in Israel.
Doesn't add up for a few reasons, but thought I'd share anyway. Supposedly something like a $5mm deal.

But something doesn't add up about it. Why decommit without signing already and if he's signed, why announce 8 schools, etc. Just doesn't add up.

I agree that he wouldn't announce a top 8 with the intention of not going to college. If so, that would be in verrrry poor taste. His dad was my assistant coach in high school, good guy, doubt that sort of thing would fly with him.

Have the Leaf's said schools they may consider OR are they just naming schools that have reached out to them to see if they are interested in TJ ? Does Leaf have to start HS shortly if he wants to be able to play HS ball ? Will be interesting to see what transpires in the next few weeks .

Have the Leaf's said schools they may consider OR are they just naming schools that have reached out to them to see if they are interested in TJ ? Does Leaf have to start HS shortly if he wants to be able to play HS ball ? Will be interesting to see what transpires in the next few weeks . His team the Compton Magic, in a tone which suggests they're speaking for him, have said he's narrowed it down to the 8 (including SDSU).
Leaf (6-9, 215), who fielded calls from a host of new suitors, is down to eight schools: Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA , Texas, California, San Diego State, Gonzaga and Indiana, according to his AAU travel team the Compton Magic
Why would he even be talking to the Compton Magic guys about anything if he's supposedly already signed professionally? My guess is that whole professional angle is bogus - just too many things don't make sense. Wouldn't rule out that it's still an option though - just don't believe the guy on FB saying it's a "done deal."
Foothills Christian HS doesn't start until September supposedly, so he does have time. However, if an option is to reclassify & play college in 2015-16 then for those schools who start in August (most of them) he's down to the final 2 weeks or so.
We'll have an answer on reclassifying within the next week I'd guess, and even then he'd still have to go through the admission process. If he's still naming schools I doubt that's already happening (like Norain did quietly). My guess it that's the least likely option, but who knows?
If I had to put money on it I'd bet Foothills in the fall; UCLA commit in October, but a possibility of several others including us.

Leaf might really enjoy playing with Malik, WS3, Zylan, SS & AC, and JH.

Leaf might really enjoy playing with Malik, WS3, Zylan, SS & AC, and JH. That would be nice, really. But it comes down to chemistry with the existing players during his visit. Do they get along? Can they stand each other? Can they hang out outside the gym? Can they be friends? Oldie Out

Neither made that team if I recall, perhaps sour grapes between Leaf and Coach Miller on dropping him, the ultimate FU to him...decommit.

Don't claim to know what he is going to do. He'd have to reclassify for a chance to even to play with SS, AC, WS (& probably MP), so figured you thought he was going to reclassify.
We'll know within the next week if that's going to happen.

There are 0 national rumors that Leaf is trying to reclassify, he is a top 15 2016 recruit (maybe top 10), if he was trying to reclassify or considering it it would be a huge recruiting national topic. There is no reason to think he is considering any class except for 2016.
