March 3, 2015 press conference. On the status of Dwayne Polee II Coach Fisher said:
"Polee has been doing some physical activity. He has been doing it under the watch of a doctor and I cannot tell you either way if he will be available to play, suit up on Wednesday and or Saturday. With the monitoring they do, the readings go to the doctor and he looks at them before making recommendations and we go from there. That's where we are. We'll see what the doctor says and then we'll advance accordingly. They monitor him 24/7 but I think most importantly, they're looking for what they want to look for when there is activity."
Emphasis added by me.

Ironically , Polee's the one guy on our team that shows heart . Shepard gets fired up when he makes a basket every once in a while but the rest of the bunch are the Walking Dead. Seniors set the tone for teams and we have a Zombie in charge. Polee and Allen bring some energy and enthusiasm. Nice to see as a fan instead of the Zombie March up and down the court.

There is a difference between Ventricular Fib, which Hank Gathers had and Atrial fib, which Polee has/had. Gather's~~ V Fib is life threatening. A fib is not considered to be. I suggest all who comment, read up on the difference beween the two..........Many framous athletes played with A fib, including Jerry West and Larry Bird. Many Tri Athletes as well as female Olympic canoest and rowers.some causes include stress, diet and failure to keep hydrated and electrolyte level at optimum. Many controlled the a fib with monitoring levels of magnesium, potasium , etc, diet, stress reduction, circadian rythm reset, etc........ Polee in hjis press conference, made it clear, his incident was a wake up call and he is now addressing it with taking better care of himself...At his press conference after the san Jose State game, he looked very healthy... PS A good resource read on A fib. DR David Cannom cardiologist Good Samaritan Hospital Los Angeles. I understand that, but he was still unconscious on the floor that game. Very scary! I just hope he doesn't die out there just to try to please the fans.

Just because a team shows little emotion on the court doesn't mean they don't have heart, or don't care, or anything like that. Some people just go about their business on floor and don't decide to make a big emotional outburst after big plays, it is fine. Also I have seen AQ get pumped up quite a bit.

I of course would love to have him on the team but I think it is a bad decision for him to continue to play. Based on what? Are you a doctor? He WANTS to play, if he or his family had said..."I don't think it's smart to continue", then nobody would have taken the latest strides to get him on the court. Believe me the school and coaches and EVERYONE, have taken extra precaution. They have his best interests in mind.

Then let him play idiots. It is not like either of us have a say in the matter. None of us are doctors here. It ismy f****** opinion I have a right to my f****** opinion stop thinking I don't. You guys should be more concerned about his health then of him playing a few games to finish his career.
Also, it is time to stop drinking the Fisher Kool-Aid! You guys sound like robots on here. Don't be afraid to think your own way and bring up different ideas or opinions that might be different than Coach Fisher. Smh
The doctors also felt that Hank gathers was good enough to play that game that he got killed on the court. Doctors also do make mistakes.

Wrong. State needs a motivator on the floor. They are obviously not good enought to be "business like". Basketball as well as most sports is a game of emotion. Watch Kentucky or Duke and tell me how "business like" they are. Maybe Fishers not recruiting fiery players anymore but I can tell you J. Frank, Thames, etc knew how to lite a fire under their teams ass. It's called leadership.

Some people just go about their business on floor and don't decide to make a big emotional outburst after big plays, it is fine. Also I have seen AQ get pumped up quite a bit. Agree 100%. What you want are playing reacting the way that makes them play their best. Some are emotional & some are not. You don't want a guy who isn't emotional getting hot headed or being forced to jump up & down if that's not his nature. Every team, including Kentucky/Duke have both.
We have enough guys on the floor who show emotion.
Same with coaches. Larry E isn't a better coach than Fisher because he shows more emotion. Teams tend to take on the personality of their coach, and Fisher is more business like than emotional and works the refs with words rather than arm waving, etc. and there's nothing wrong with that.

Based upon his demeanor, do you think that Kawhi Leonard doesn't care who wins when he plays?

People shouldn't confuse their own emotions with the players'.
Fans can freak out all they want, IMO. But each player contributes something different, and that team chemistry is a big factor whether the team has success.
I enjoy players like Kawhi who stay cool and beat you with skill and effort. JJ gets criticised because even if he's giving effort, it just doesn't show, and if we can't see it I don't know if his teammates can.
AQ gets pumped up, and his effort seems unquestionable, still he would not be considered "elite" enough to beat you on talent alone.
Spence and Shrig seem comfortable, know and do their jobs, but don't expect them to carry us. They would benefit the most with a leadership boost.
Finally, there's Shepard . . . an emerging enigma . . . both UNM games, the second CSU game . . . big time performances.
Hmmm. I'm going to wait and see what happens in the next two weeks.

Would seem the Polee playing is in the hands of the doctors , as it should be .
Leadership X and Davis were leaders by how they performed on the court . JJ is the same this year , neither highs or lows , calm approach ,"coach on the court" . The vocal leaders are AQ and WS , who do show their excitement on the court . So there are both styles. Who is our go to guy ,so far it seems it is JJ , with support from AQ and maybe Kell ? JJ got shut down for most of the last 30 minutes of the BSU game by Webb, and we did not have a back up plan that worked .
