He may have been the difference last night. I know Fish knows much more than I do but I was surprised that Allen didn't get some playing time (other than the last 3 minutes) last night.

VERY disappointed to see DP not suited up prior to the game. I believe it was one of the handful of things that, had any one of those things gone the other way, could have turned that game around for us. VERY glad to hear that his Dad thinks he'll play at UNLV! Go Aztecs! Oh yeah, and Go Fresno! (ooh, that didn't feel right...)

I am surprised that he and the coach and the school would allow this to happen. Way too much my liability

It's now been reliably determined by numerous physicians and specialists that what he's dealing with isn't life-threatening, it's treatable, and he can play if he wants. Now there's the adjustments that need to be made to meds and activity level, and that will take time - and as I read elsewhere - time that Dwayne simply doesn't have.

What meds are they pumping into DP? There are usually more adverse effects with Big Pharma drugs than food-base remedies. As Hippocrates said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."

Hey, kjw88, can you tell us what foods regulate an irregular heart rate? No? Thought so. Big Pharma may be the enemy to some, but sorry to say that drugs really are the answer to some chronic illnesses. I'm not gonna get on my big boy soapbox here, but please, if you've got an argument related to medicine, I request you back it up with science.

Of course you knew that, but are much happier peeing on the party. (metaphor, not realistic)

He may have been the difference last night. I know Fish knows much more than I do but I was surprised that Allen didn't get some playing time (other than the last 3 minutes) last night. The decision to make him sit was decided just before game time so I think the team was deflated when they found out. My guess is he practiced all week filling Dakarai Allen's role which is probably the reason Allen didn't play significant minutes. So Polee sitting cost us two players. Going forward, I'm fearing the same scenario may occur against UNLV. It's a tough decision to make, but Fisher should hold practices as if Polee can't play. If he's able to play he should know Allen's role anyway since that's the position he's played off the bench last year.

Polee practiced Tues, the team was off Weds, and he was held out Thurs and Fri. Plenty of time to get DA up to speed. I'm not normally one to question Coaches gameplan, but I think in this case, Allen should have seen the floor...

Big Pharma may be the enemy to some, but sorry to say that drugs really are the answer to some chronic illnesses. I'm not gonna get on my big boy soapbox here, but please, if you've got an argument related to medicine, I request you back it up with science. Hey kaztec, I only asked about the particular drug DP is being prescribed. Big Pharma has a track record of isolating compounds, often found in food, which they patent in order to produce a synthetic drug. Keep in mind, you can't patent food so in the process of isolating the active ingredient the bioavailability and beneficial nutrients is lost. DP has said that he has cleaned up his diet and perhaps, drugs may be the quickest, easiest solution to get him back on the court for his remaining year of eligibility. That being said, the list of pharmaceuticals' adverse effects is always a lengthy one so I don't want to see DP compromise his health later down the road. Check out "Bought" ( boughtmovie.net/free-viewing/?AFFID=197258) and it provides an overview of the corrupt and incestuous relationship between Govt Regulatory Agencies, Big Pharma, Big Ag, Mainstream Media so it's good to have a healthy discussion and skepticism about the state of health care, the causes of many chronic illnesses in America, good science, data manipulation, the use of scientists-for-hire, bad science.

I of course would love to have him on the team but I think it is a bad decision for him to continue to play.
