Updated again..check first post
Looks like UCLA will probably getting Vance Jackson as they are now 84% (after not being on the list) while SDSU, Cal and UofA all drop below 6%. Cage is basically down to SDSU or UCLA (UK still listed, but I would be surprised there) Cyrus down to SDSU or UNLV Moore down to SDSU or USC

Just being mentioned with these schools was unimaginable not long ago. Thank you Coach Fisher.

I still think he comes to SDSU...

Last update was 4/30. It doesn't look like updates the rankings even though Rivals has changed (Narian for example, who is now in the 60s).
Also, I just finished reading the 'formula' for how these percentages are generated and it is pretty interesting. It is based on an economic term 'Utility Maximization' where 'Utility' in this case is basically the satisfaction level from attending a certain school. It factors in a schools 5 year win%, proximity from recruit's home, potential playing time, players sent to NBA from the school, graduation rate (parents look for this one), facilities (arena, practice facility, TV exposure, etc.
I don't think the formula specifically factors this in, but it seems to me that with Narian committing our chances of Cyrus coming here would be even higher since they play on the same team. It also says that when a recruit has an offer from Kentucky, they almost always go to Kentucky, so our best hope is that Cage sees that it is far from home, PT is going to be limited (higher recruits coming him), and ends up coming to SDSU instead.
29 - Vance Jackson : SDSU 4% (UCLA 84%) 35 - MJ Cage: SDSU 47% (UCLA 28%, UK 21%) 102 - Brandon Cyrus :" SDSU 79% (UNLV 20%) 124 - Justin Moore : SDSU 54% (USC 44%) BTW Narian (144) is listed SDSU 43% | Gonzaga 22%

So if we have a wish list for "newer" players for 2016 ( counting Narain and guess Malik is gone ) we currently have 8 players 4 guys at C/F and 4 guards
Looking to get 2 or 3 more C/F's and 1 guard
So wish/ actual hopefuls of guys we could sign for 2016: is it Cage , Bailey , Kone , Aaron , Moore , Cyrus , Hoetzel , Harrison or ?

Kentucky will recruit well over the top of Cage. Having said that, there is appeal to practicing daily against the very best in college basketball.

As of today we have 11 guys for 2015. Lets assume Narain stays in the 2016 class. We lose Winston, Skylar, and Angelo to graduation next spring, and lets assume Malik goes pro. That would give us the following 8 guys for 2016-17... with either 5 open scholarships in one class or a combo of transfers in this year or next. Dakarai Allen D'Erryl Williams Matt Shrigley Trey Kell Zylan Cheatham Jeremy Hemsley Brodricks Jones Nolan Narain Michael Cage Jr (wish list #1)Justin Moore (wish list #2, want to keep the best players in San Diego home)Brandon Cyrus (wish list #3, I think he and Moore can play together, keep the Canadian ties going)Max Hoetzel - (wish list #4, transfer in this year to take one of our current open schollies, he will have 3 years of eligibility, sharp shooter with great size would fill a definite need)With that 5th scholarship, I say keep it open unless we find a great fit of a trasfer this year (Shaqquan Aaron?) or we land an elite wing player in the 2016 class or a great 5th year grad transfer... OR Malik comes back for his junior season. Either way, MJ Cage is my #1 target as a fan. I hope and wonder if the staff feels the same way.

I get the feeling Moore is not a top priority for us.

Think Bailey , Aaron , Kone are all better prospects for the Aztecs up front at C or F . Bailey would be great if we are still on his list. if not then Aaron at SF. Need to get Cage or Kone or both , Hoetzl played on the 9th best offensive team and 217 th worst defense last year . Averaged 7 minutes did most of his scoring against the weaker OOC teams they played , overall he was 24 of 56 FG% , but when it came to BIG conference play 10 of 29 . Not a major contributor on offense and not noted for his defense either rated on the lower end . Also one of the guards - the best quality guy .is more important then homer .

Most recruits are attending the various AAU events this whole month - all 3 remaining "weekends" usually go Wednesdays- Sundays . Coaches can attend and evaluate , but not talk in person with recruits . Can communicate on the phone. August is "quiet month " as recruits set up visits during full recruiting/ visits September through November 8 . Official signing for early commits is 11/11- 11/18.
