Getting Nolan and MJ would be great. I could see both of them playing an inside/out game on offense, and if MJ is drastically less mobile, he can defend the 5 but still be a 4 on offense... they would seem to be interchangeable, as both can shoot and both have post game. Having both of them together on the floor creates major mismatches in our favor.
I think we end up getting these two bigs, as well as Brandon Cyrus or Justin Moore. Moore would seem to be a lock if the coaches really did want him, just not sure where the staff has him on their personal wish list. I believe he and Trey are very close friends.
This would be a monster recruiting class.

To me getting Cage would be huge since he is a very good player, that we would be beating out UCLA and Kentucky and that he is a 'legacy' - it would 'almost' look bad if he didn't come here.

Most of us agree getting Cage would be great for the Aztecs . His dad has said, he may make some suggestions but that it will be totally up to junior to decide where he wants to play . Going to be the program that can best prepare the PF for the NBA . Think being at the senior game was helpful , as is the JAM center , setting up the stipends , having Kansas come visit here next year but getting him to sign here if Kentucky wants him will not be easy .

Keith Smith should be 100%. You obviously don't follow recruiting much. LOL. Until the LOI is signed nothing is 100% and even then it is only 99.9% since some kids have changed their minds even after signing.

A large part of that was Sean Miller recruiting over him, however. They signed Allonzo Trier who is a big time scorer out of Findlay Prep, and Dorsey didn't like that his number of touches were going to go down soooooo....he gone. I will say, though not nearly as bad as football, the old switcheroo does happen from time to time, and can't feel safe until signed on the dotted line.

I was simply pointing out it does happen so to say it doesn't happen and Smith is a total lock at this point is naive. The chances are slim he'd decommit to go somewhere else but it could happen

If you read Smith's story and his history regarding SDSU, I'm sure you'll agree this kid about as inked as it gets without the deed being done. www.utsandiego.com/news/2015/feb/10/sdsu-basketball-recruit-keith-smith/

Guess the words say it best Solid - but still a verbal until early NLI November 2015 . Do believe NN is not playing AAU ball because of his injury,so he may not get as many other offers . His parents also seem very level headed , in helping him make an articulate decision , so things do seem consistent with him staying committed to SDSU .

Wasn't just trier they recruited briscoe hard while dorsey was committed, they were going take 1st one to commit and basically drop dorsey.

Another update - 3/19 - looks like Vance Jackson went up down for UConn and up for SDSU and Cal. Also now reflects Gonzaga commitment for Zach Collins - who he last had at 17% for. I'm guessing that means they made a late run for him.

I said on this site months ago that Gonzaga was the favorite to land him and so did many recruiting sites. Vance Jackson is unlikely to come to SDSU, many schools are ahead of us for his services including UCLA.

Agree Collins was fairly well committed to the Zags after his visit there . They involve their centers in their play and are making a strong run in MM . Also as mentioned Jackson also picked up an offer from UCLA , who also made a good showing in MM , plus he has other offers from a few other quality teams . Ben Kone is playing today for Mitty in section 2 State Championship game today . M. Cage is playing tonight in the Open Championship , Some games are on TWC Sports Network . Has any one heard how NN has done for his HS team back in Indians ?

Those percentages have been pretty optimistic for SDSU. I think we would be lucky to get 1 or 2 of those guys

The site doesn't really explain how he gets his numbers, so I am in no way vouching for it, just presenting the data. Based on the 2015 recruits, most of them do go to the 1st or 2nd school on his list. At this point I am hoping we get Cage and I think Narian & Moore are also realistic.
