Just curious- How many of you naysayers on here have ever set foot inside Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX for a game? Anybody? If you have, what did you think about your experience in there? Arlington's contribution to the Cowboys Stadium was $325 million, or 27% of the total final $1.15 billion cost. Jerry Jones paid for the cost overruns, which totaled about $500 million. Arlington did it through a sale tax increase, a hotel tax increase, and a rental car tax increase to fund bonds. We've already demonstrated to you the extreme unlikelihood of any of those types of taxes meeting a 2/3 vote requirement in San Diego. Do the work Bruce - find any tax in California since Prop 13 that had to comply with a 2/3 vote requirement and won. $100 to the AAF says that the Chargers/NFL will not agree to any plan, like what happened in Dallas, where they are or could end up on the hook for 70+% of the bill.

I've been to like 5 chargers games in my life. F X X X em they can't have my money. Public money should go to projects freely available to the public. Not to a stadium for a private company that will then charge 150 bucks a ticket to a 3 hour event to the taxpayers that funded the damn thing. Your arguments throughout this thread have little to no basis in fact and you should just stop. It's pathetic how hard you cling to that billionaire's jock.

This guy has...and of course comparing the legacy of the Dallas Cowboys against the Chargers is farcical. Jerry's world is awesome. Just glad I'm not the taxpayer who shelled out the money for it.

Why are you people still talking about a stadium?! If the Chargers leave, there will be no stadium. Nobody out there could possibly be that stupid. (Wait, maybe Donald Trump). (Sorry, spent the evening cashing in one ticket after another, with more to cash in tomorrow, while pounding Bloooody Mary's all evening). Actually, State didn't let me down. Took South Alabama plus points. Yeah, this program deserves a new stadium.... :rotflmao
