PG: will be a battle that could last into the fall - Zabo-Williams - Shepard - AQ - even Kell SG: Shepard - Kell - Polee- Shrigley- AQ SF: JJ-Polee- Pope - Allen- - Shepard C/PF Spencer- Chol- Cheatham - JJ or Shepard if needed a lot of guys that can play a lot of positions , what players have stepped forward Is Pope healthy ? Can Spencer and Chol work together ( think Spencer and Davis did last year )? What HS guys handle the transition and how quickly ? Will guys red shirt 13 is too many , Can Fisher go 10 deep ? Who starts does not matter its who there at crunch time (Polee last year). Also Polee did not get much PT until later Summer Session Practice is in July - may get some answers then or more speculation Usually your statements are 100% and 100%. 100% known and 100% agreed to. But one statement above needs to be addressed. Redshirting is not an option for any members of the team for any player that can not earn playing time. The reason for that is very simple. If they can not earn time, they may never earn time. If that is the case having red shirt would cost them a year of play if they decide to transfer. Fisher asked Jamaal to red shirt - mistake. Fisher asked Shrigley to red shirt - mistake. He has learned.

Who do you expect to be the starters on the team next year? Is there room for Polee and Winnie to both start? Typical Lobo fan. Skip football altogether. Don't blame you. Might want to also look ahead to baseball season though.

A team who starts nothing but big men will run into some problems. Quickness and shooting do have their places in basketball, and honestly Sheppard won't consistently be able to break the press without another guard. It's either going to be Spencer or Chol in the post.
Spencer Sheppard Pope/JJ Polee Allen/Shrigley/Zabo/Kell
I don't see AQ as a starter on THIS team. He is a solid Div I player, but the Aztecs are now a team of high level players, of course I could be wrong.
Pope or Z (or both)could easily supplant any of the front court starters. JJ has terrific court savvy, but something tells me that Zylan and Pope are special players ready to contribute immediately. If Shep develops a mid range jumper, look out!

I will align myself with the camp that starts:
S. Spencer A. Chol JJ O'Brien W Shepard III D Polee II
It's slanted to the defensive and gives Polee and Shepard the first opportunity to show they have the ball handling skills and hot hand to start the scoring -- substitutions will be to try different lines for speed, height or fresh shooters, but I believe this will be how Coach Fisher will start things off each game
