Quite honestly people read too much into this garbage. Shepard knows that once he begins to shoot better and gets back in transition he will be starting. Shep plays great half court defense, takes it hard to the hole, and rebounds. His shooting will improve over the summer once he shoots 500 balls a day and hits the weight room. I don't see Shep starting this season, no mater how much better his shooting gets. The only way would be if a starter or two was injured. His D is solid as long as his guy does't start running him through picks. That takes experience at the D-1 level. I think his best position on our team, is as a 4 especially when we are in a high/low post. If his shooting does get much better, he could also play at the 3 spot. X is, by far, the best point. The "nobody is a point, but it looks like JJ is," also works out well.

Did not read every post in this thread but maybe Bland told him something like, "if you are going to play selfish, you don't deserve to represent this team. Turn that jersey inside out." Perhaps a stretch but at least it wouldn't be as troubling as if he did it on his own.

If Bland lit him up, Shepard had it coming.
Fisher doesn't tolerate that stuff. I remember when he yanked Randy Holcomb from a guy when he got chippy at him. Fisher also sat Kyle Spain for the last half of a season. Both learned their lessons and became team leaders.
