Looks like they are pushing us to see if they need 1 or 2 teams to join them.
I don't think we wanted to be forced before the 31. They most think we are hold out for the Big East.
Boise held everyone up.

If Tulsa and UMass are BE expansion candidates I get the feeling SDSU is headed back to the MWC.

Damned if you do,Damned if you don't. Fish or cut bait. Sink or swim. Never up, never in. Until there are some real solid $ figures how do we decide? If we don't decide how does anyone come up with some real $ figures? I think I will go to Arizona quail hunting for a week leaving my cell phone at home and promising not to turn the radio on. Enough is a enough.

Or UTSA If SDSU goes back to the MWC and the MWC wants to go to 14 I would go after Houston and SMU. If one declines go after UTSA.

Meh, Katz hasn't had any solid sources throughout all of this expansion nonsense.

I believe that the MWC has extended an offer to SDSU. The issue is agreement on terms. If the MWC plays "hardball" it risks violating the BSU/MWC contract by not implementing a clause "in good faith" or violating the spirit of that contract clause. OTOH, while SDSU has strong support from its fellow CSU schools, there appears to be more of a "ho-hum" attitude by several mountain area schools. The attitude appears to be, "SDSU OK, but if they don't come over on what we believe to be good terms, then there's UTEP". It would be nice to get a decision soon so we could all move on.

I believe that the MWC has extended an offer to SDSU. Ya think? The expected stuff in the article obviously comes from the MWC and is intended to get us to take a dump (i.e. rejoin) or get off the pot. If the ESPN guy Brennan isn't just talking out of his posterior and the BE is actually seriously considering asking Tulsa, Slippery Rock and Podunk State, we might as well take that dump. HOWEVER, even if we do, this isn't going to be over unless Hair can get a huge increase in the MWC's exit fee. Something like the $20M+ that Yoda said in one of his numerous psots that he now can't see to recall. In the absence of such an increase to the exit fee, another airport meeting within the next few years is a virtual guarantee.

What does that even mean? "...move on SDSU"? What? Yea, I'm trying to figure out what the hell that means. move on as in, well, I'm moving on, or move on as in I need to get my move on. It must be Craig Thompson since the guy can't put together a sentence without some unnecessary ambiguity

The fact that the range feels that way should be reason enough for us not to go back and you guys to get out as soon as you can. UTEP? We're talking about UTEP? Theyre better than Tulane No they're not. Both are terrible at football. NOLA vs El Paso? Tulane is a great school. Tulane has deep pockets. El Paso is just another OJ Mayo envelope being found from back to being ho hum at bball. If you are going to align with a school, you align with Tulane way before UTEP
