And the reverse can be said about MWC teams in football compared to BE teams, and football is significantly more valuable than basketball. Can't argue that. Actually this got me thinking. I think the mountain west is much closer to the big east, than the big west is to the mwc.

1. Boise has the same deal the rest of us have. If you can schedule a game that is worthy of being on a national network you will have the same opportunity. Plus home games at Boise on a national network gets you the bonus as well when you play them. If this deal was in place this year UNLV would have received a bonus. Yes, Boise has an advantage now. But if your program is as good as you all think it is then you shouldn't have a problem. People want to see SDSU football right? You play Oregon St. next season at home. That game is eligible if anyone wants it plus your home MWC games. Seems to me that you have multiple opportunities of selling a few games to national providers.
2. Why should the MWC give you ANY special incentives to join. We don't need you. Boise was the prize, not you. You are a throw-in. Just like you were to the BE.
Look, I would rather see SDSU in the MWC. As a UNLV fan I feel SDSU is the closest school in the MWC that is like UNLV. I happen to like SDSU, if not some of your fans. But you have to be realistic. You don't hold the winning hand here. If you did you would go it alone to the BE without Boise.

That Oregon State game will likely be one of the 5-15 (depending on who you believe) that CBS Sports gets to protect. That's what you MWC backslapper have been to slow to stop and think about. Cool, the feeling is mutual. Hopefully we'll stay in the BE. Hopefully that's what we're doing. We don't "need" the MWC, especially with that clusterf*** of a TV deal.

Ya, we get to UNLV on their court for a nuetral site game to determine the championship. Iron on t shirt fans are wetting themselves. I resent your characterization of basketball fans as brand new fans Sent from my ADR6300 using proboards I resent resentment and T-Shirt fans. I am going to love being in Laramie watching the Tshirt fans rocking this T Wait, you mean they aren't going to be taking the 3 hour flight and 2 hour bus ride on black ice through mountain switch backs? Then I will catch them in a baker's dozen T like this in San Jose.... image.spreadshirt.com/image-server/v1/products/1077164/views/1,width=280,height=280.png/bakers-dozen-lazy-sunday-tee-0.png [/img] What you mean they aren't going to be in SJ doubling the attendance? Then we will rock Cache valley together wearing our Simpsons Choo Choo shirts. What I got to go alone, the Tshirt fans aren't making the 14 hour drive one way? We will always have the Halloween blow out in the student section for football and our snap dragon snuggies.

So, what is your great deal with the BE? Oh, that's right you don't have one. You want to play your closest BE game 2000 miles away in Texas so be it. Just don't be surprised if Houston and SMU are in the MWC down the road. Not to mention throwing away your hoops program. I'm sure no matter what is said publicly that Fisher is very happy they may stay in the MWC. If your current deal was so good your administration would have already said no thanks to the MWC and said they were staying, but they didn't. The bottom line is you took a gamble and you lost.

Ya, we can drive 6 hours to Sam Boyd and see how people suffered through the dust bowl era in the parking lot and then get treated to one of the Typical and predictably terrible UNLV football team. Ya.

DU supposedly offered to pay travel subs to the WCC. They'd do the same for us. DU is going to the Summit League but they are a western institution and would join us tomorrow if asked. BWL is a good match for them. funny you mention Cal State LA. They, like you, were a charter member of the conference. Big Lots, I served with the WCC, the WCC is a friend of mine. You, Big Lots, are no WCC. ---That was really uncalled for. You are the one that was making the comparison, Big Lots Hey, we were once in the WCC - or at least, its predecessor.
