His act was brutal tonight. Pouting and sulking (and not getting back on D because of it.) Arguing with officials and coaches. But the worst was refusing to warm up for the second half. He sat with his head in his hand on the bench. At one point, Shrigley came over to try and talk to him, but he wasn't having it. Before the second half started, Fisher came over and the two exchanged some words. Hopefully he can pull himself out of this, but it's not looking good.

He had some good moves tonight, but he will never make it to the next level if he cannot control his emotions. When he had that turnover caused by the USD guard, where the ball went out of bounds, he had complete anguish in his face for at least a minute after that. Right now he just can't shake off his Freshman mistakes. His mind is his biggest enemy. Hang in there Winston.

His drive and lay-in in the 2nd half was awesome....he got from the 3pt line to the rim in a hurry. He's definitely got potential and I'm excited to see Fish and Co. bring him along. I do agree that he need to stop being so hard on himself and sulking at times and get back on D.

I've watched him very closely in every home game and to me what appears to be pouting or sulking is him getting angry at himself. He seems to just be super emotional and gets frustrated with himself if he misses a shot or turns a ball over.

wow. ok. maybe i'm just being over critical of the kid. No, you're right. The dude has a s#!++y attitude. He acts like he's too good for us. In reality, he's just really frustrated because he hasn't been able to handle D1 basketball yet. He needs to be humbled, and quickly. Fisher will get sick of his act soon. He better shape up quick like.

He seems to just be super emotional and gets frustrated with himself if he misses a shot or turns a ball over. He's hurting the team by doing this. He's not good enough to get pissed and make up for it on the court. He's late getting back on defense when he pulls the bad attitude.

Ebrahimian went to shake his hand at a timeout, Winston just shook him off and left him hanging. After the game, the entire team with the exception of Shepard went over and acknowledged The Show. Winston headed straight to the locker room with Fisher following a few feet behind. Several fans standing by the walkway leading to the locker room had their hands extended...nada, he just blew right through them. Then, not more than 10-15 minutes after the game, as I'm slowly trying to navigate my way through parking structure 4 (actually, at a complete stop), Winston walks past in a hurry, all by himself, with his hood pulled over his head. I love the kid and hope he does well in black & red and beyond, but he has some serious emotional issues that he needs to get in check.

Thats how Jamaal was (is). Alec 00 williams didn't and that's why he was a wasted scholly on our roster. Winson (hopefully) is just being hard on himself because he wanted to come in and be a star. I hope its just growing pains and he will work himself into a baller and mature through the emotions.
