I love when people complain about SDSU football recruiting. This program has been in the dumper for the majority of the last 20 years. Just because we have had minor recent sucess doesnt mean we will be able to recruit like ASU. We need to continue to find under the radar prospects, and develope them. Just like Boise did initially.

The current class replaces a class that was recruited off a Chuck Long 4-8 season.
The class following will replace a class that was recruited off a Chuck Long 2-10 season with a very late Brady Hoke replacement.
As long as we get classes better than the ones we are replacing, we should continue the Long process of getting a full roster of players needed to win in the Big East.

Agrtee 52 of the 85 players are underclassmen many were offerd by pac ten schools and BCS schools about 30. If we go to a bowl this year and play decent next year(?) we will have ag ood class being in the big east.

This is the type of kid/gamble we need to help propel us to the next level. A talented kid who didn't attend the camps, transferred schools as a Junior, didn't send out any recruiting tapes until a week ago and is playing out of position. For said reasons, we must hope he has been severely under-recruited and is truly a hidden 4 or 5 star talent. He certainly has the right size for an outside linebacker!
Remember many of you questioned some of our offers/recruits early in the process because of lack of stars. However, later in the summer the kids got more exposure and took perceived better offers from big time schools and stars shot up. We should feel good we got this guy so late in the process, so he will be less likely to jump with greater exposure.

Aw, the ASU douche is back to tell us how we should recruit more like ASU, what with all of their championships and such... LOL, you are funny. There was no mention of ASU, besides the fact that an ASU offer doesn't matter. Also pretty funny that you still use douche as an insult. That is exactly how TCU built their program... Good coach! Lot's of athletes and then figure out where to play them. They have had many RB's move to DL and LB under Patterson.

That philosophy works in the MWC or C-USA. It is still early, but I would really like to see their Big-12 record at the end of the year. TCU beat a bad Kansas team in their first Big-12 game and just lost at home to a middle of the pack Iowa St. team. People always talk about the weekly "gauntlet" of a BCS conference. They finish up the season with #5 W. Virginia, #6 Kansas St, #15 Texas, and #16 Oklahoma. That will show us if those MWC athletes can play with the big boys. Utah will tell you it is not an easy transition. TCU has to and will step up their recruiting to stay competitive.

James, serious question, TCU is 1-1 in the Big-12 right now. What do you think it will be at the end of the season? Utah was 4-5 in their first year in the Pac and they did not play the top 2 teams, Oregon or Stanford. Over/under 3.5 wins.

I'm assuming ncaagridirongab had ASR's permission to print that. Nevertheless, it's Ruben Meza's article and there's no attribution of that. Weak.

Unless this guy stops eating or goes on a diet he will probably be destined for DE.....which is fine. Tyler Morris is a SS but will morph into an OLB like Logan Ketchum did.....and didn't that work out fine?

With him, they could win all of those games. Without him, they could lose them all. Utah was without their QB last year and would have had a similar record in the MWC.

For shits and giggles, throw out a record. espn.go.com/dallas/ncf/story/_/id/8482903/tcu-horned-frogs-quarterback-casey-pachall-leave-school

Who knows now. How many games do you think WVU would win without Geno Smith?

Brandon Huffman @brandonhuffman Just watched some film on new San Diego State commit Azeem Victor and the Aztecs got an absolute steal in the Pomona (Calif.) linebacker... Brandon Huffman @brandonhuffman Aztecs corners coach/rcrtg coordinator Tony White again is showing why he's one of the best recruiters in the Mountain West. Found a gem...
Happy, Gonzo?

Who knows now. How many games do you think WVU would win without Geno Smith? I still think WVU would be a 10 win team. The dynamic playmakers that that have on offense are unbelievable. The best teams remaining on their scheduled are Kansas St and Oklahoma and both are at home. However, you cannot compare the the leading Heisman contender to Casey Pachall. Geno Smith has 24 TDs to 0 interceptions. FWIW, I think TCU goes 3-6 in the Big12, 4-5 with Pachell.

He's not a four or five star acording to [recruiting site] so he must be awful.
