We have improved our recruiting but will need to do even better. Look at what UCLA, UNLV, Arizona have done with the 2012 class all with players in the top 10.(plus transfers) Now look at what Cal and Wash... are doing for 2013. There is a strong battle for talent in the West and many of these Universities have added AAU coaches, East Coast ties or NBA connections. Will need the coaching staff to work even harder or find a way to extend connections, continue to build a strong OOC schedule of games, AD to make sure we get games on major networks (so recruits can see them) and even get a radio network that covers more of CA, alums to help build a new practice facility and fund a travel trip. It all adds up to building a strong program.

I am so sick of this conversation. People act as if we used to go into homes and tell kids to come play for us so they could be in the prestigious mountain west conference! Come on people! Yes it is a better conference than the big west but don't oversell it! This is not the big east we are talking about here. We were never selling our conference before and wont now. Play for a good team and you'll get noticed and the NBA will come knocking...what 99% of recruits are looking for along with a great college atmosphere. We have both. Move on. Awesomeness

If a couple of two star recruits from Santa Barbara can make NBA rosters, then surely these four and five star guys SDSU is signing will find themselves scouted some as well.
