So, you're telling me that all recruiting experts (besides you, of course) mistakenly gave Shep a 5* rating rather than the 1* rating you think he deserved? YOU'RE A f****** RETARD, BRO. Look BBA, I'm the first one in favor of coming on this board and causing a ruckus for all the old farts on here, but your opinion on Shep is CLEARLY biased and just f****** stupid. I was a proponent of yours until now. It's great you love Jamaal and his game, but making idiotic opinions on another player is just plain wrong. I know plenty of people with direct interaction with prospects and I'll take their word any day over yours. They've analyzed the game of all of the guys on the squad and there is no way any of them would rank Shep as low as you did. I'm starting to think you're one of those creepy NBA-prospect chasing low-lives who do nothing but cause harm to a program. Your opinion on Jamaal has been spot throughout, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Just leave. Thanks for the comments and acknowledgement. If it makes you feel better, I'd give Shepard 3 stars because of his length and defense. If he's a dedicated gym rat, he could develop the type of offensive game that could make him a Trevor Ariza type down the road. But today, he's just way too raw for 5 stars and not on the same playing level as the Forwards I ranked ahead of him. Scouts get it wrong al the time. There is a reason why he didn't get offers from Duke, Kentucky, UNC and the othe premire schools. Top tier schools don't just let sure fire 6'8 wing players slip through the cracks. But they let 6'5" future Kobe's go huh?

Shep might just be the best defender on the team the day he steps onto the court.

According to BBA, Shepard ranks just ahead of LaBradford Franklin on the depth chart.

Kind of hard to rank guys who have not all played together. Wait till the middle of the season and ask again.

Had Jamaal been at a Top ranked Prep school instead of an unkown school in the high desert, you would have saw a totally different type of recruitment process for him. Good thing he landed at SDSU!

There is always that possibility that I could be wrong. I'm 75% confident in my assessments of Shepard because I've only seen a few game tapes and a few highlight reels.

I can see no other reason to start this thread other than to bash Shep. Last of the F is just plain obvious you have some sort of hatred for him. Not sure why....

You know, it is possible for both Jamaal and Winston to succeed together right?
How awesome would it be to have Jamaal win conference POY and have Winston win Freshman of the year?

That would be awesome and well within the realm of possibility. Shepards defense could get him consideration, but his offense is just too raw for him to get sufficient playing time. Especially with how good Polee and O'brien are at both ends of the floor. Shepard would have to beat out Stephens, Polee, and O'brien for him to make a huge impact for us. Do you think he's going to beat out those other guys?
