If you do this and go for it on forth down say 75% even defenses will start to key on this and it will be an epic failure, i wouldnt mind a 50/50 version to try against weaker comp first.
now for the 335 base defense ROCKY did not invent this lol he borrowed it from Virgina tech sorry to keep bursting your bubble about this zuma james, but ive been coaching a long time and a lot of the bs coming out of your mouth is a lie. Common man.

I thank god every day I don't know any kids that play football in Lakeside.

I'll let others debate the significance but Quigley told ASR that Rocky has talked to the linemen about eschewing the punt and going for it regularly on fourth down.

Common man. They can not key on it. Because the trick is it screws up thinking about third downs not fourth downs. Eveyone knows as soon as you line up on fourth down your not going to punt. You only have to average 2.5 yards play to get first downs. The idea is to do it enough that the DC is preparing his defense against, it whether you use it or not. Rocky wants the new DC at Washington to believe this is ea pssibility. That clever old fox. Remember on a punt three bad things can happen and only one good. shank,Block, fumbled snap or good punt.

Actually it is a good idea. You control the game and keep the ball.
Let's look at 3 and 7 from the 35. No man's land except you probably will pass more than you run in that situation. If you don't make it, do you try a FG or punt? Neither are percentage choices.
Same senario, on third down, you run for 2 yards. Now 4 and 5; you run again for 3. Turn over on the 30. Think that is better than a missed field or a punt that goes through the end zone, out to the 20.
This way you are keeping pressure on their defense to stop you.
Hey we all want offense and nice to see the defensive coordinator coming up with this plan.

Crack me up. When reading both the ASR and UT articles I had visions of Rocky laughing himself silly as he played with the media and everyone else. It's a good sign to me, anyway, that Rocky is in a position to have fun with this. He broke his super secrecy rules so he could let Washington know what's up before they play us. Crack me up, I'm laughing too hard to write more. Fred Noonan.

Going for it on 4th and double digits is simply stupid. It's fourth and 11 on the thirty yard line. You punt, 90 percent likley its a touchback or its blocked. You go for a field goal it is 47 yards. So you go for it what do you lose 10 yards maybe. Your chances are better than the field goal or the coffin corner. It all depends on the position etc. Also if you know you are going to go for it on fourth down you call plays that only need to get you 10 yards in four downs. I head one of the things that prtecipated this is his confidenc ein Mewma,Price and Kazee in short yardage.

McMorrow hit a 42 yarder in the scrimmage today, we have a kicker now so I don't see this plan sticking. I wouldn't mind at all if we went for it more often than normal, especially in shallow + territory, but I don't want to see it used every time we get into + territory
