There is a lot in SDSU's favor for this one. The pressure is really going to be on BYU as they need the win more than we do (since they are at home). They will also be coming off a tough road game at CSU while SDSU will be coming off a Bye. SDSU will also be practicing against a zone starting yesterday (since AF is coming up).
There will be lots of national media and scouts there as well. BYU fans can correct me, but probably the hotest ticket for a BYU game in a long time.

There will be no pressure on the Aztecs.Everyone will expect them to lose and if they do to another top 10 team on the road it will not affect much of anything in my mind. If they pull it out however.......

No pressure on us. We're the ROAD team. As for #1, we'll need a lot to fall in line.

Let's see if Syracuse even falls below us if they lose

Just make it a close game. That's all I ask. It will justify all of the rankings and accolades to this point.
Make it close, and then come back and SPANK them on Feb. 26 in front of a CBS national broadcast audience!

Actually the ideal situation would be SDSU v. BYU for the National Championship......talk about "epic". What's beyond "epic"? Is BYU v. SDSU even possible in the title game?

With both teams being as good as they are, it might come down to who handles the pressure better. And it is disconcerting that you have a BYE right before the tilt. I can't determine if it helps, or is a hindrance. But, I don't relish the fact that you've got a full week to prepare. This game has been close to being a sell out now. It's the heavyweight divisional match up: The Jimmer/Kawhi Show and their supporting cast.

Absolute MONSTER game! All of San Diego will be watching this one. Every sports bar in SD will be packed. Are they taking reservations at Oggi's for this one?

BYU & SDSU are NOT the 2 best teams in the Country! It is better to do what TCU did & beat the "HOT" team or Power Conference team - just sayin' - much more impressive!

I'll take BYU against any Big East team....ditto SDSU. Ohio State and Duke would be tough but they are both beatable.

No excuse for the national media or coaches who vote, not to see this game. New Mexico did us a favor by using the BYU strategy against us. It got us hot from 3 and hopefully we stay hot and confident.

BYU, maybe, especially if Jimmer and Emery keep playing the way they have been.........But I'd have a hard time taking the Aztecs over Syracuse and their mastery of the 2-3 zone. The Orange are ranked #3 in both polls for a reason, and Boeheim is as big a believer in the 2-3 zone as Fisher is in man-to-man defense. And they run it better than just about anyone in the country. Despite the uncharacteristically solid performance from range in Albuquerque, zone defenses are still the Aztecs' Achilles heel. Let's wait and see how they perform against the Zoobs before we go proclaiming the Aztecs Champions of the Big East.

There are a few teams in the US that are not going to let a single player beat them. I think we are one. Yes, Bird got all the way to the finals with hardly anything around him....but I don't think its possible anymore. Aside from Emory, BYU does not have much.

I agree with you, but, that shows how great Jimmy is. The guy is amazing. Hands down the best offensive player in the conference and probably top three in the nation. I hate the guy, but he is as good as a player at his position you will ever see.
