Chile isn't overlooked if you paid attention to qualifying I wasn't talking about Chile. Portugal is very very good but everyone talks about Spain, Italy, Germans, Dutch, and Brazil

Not going to lie Portugal looked pretty bad save the last couple of minutes, there are lots of teams underwhelming, im not sure there is a dominate team this year, even Brazil looked very shaky for stretches today.

I feel like its going to be a surprise winner this year with the way the big boys are playing. Maybe its finally one of the Scandinavia countries.

A win today would have been huge for us. Nice that England tied as well. Had they won it would have been tough. We need to kick some ass in the next game.

Next game is Wednesday vs Algeria at 7:00 a.m. If we win, we're in. We tie, we still might be in depending on England-Slovenia game.

I didn't wake up expecting to see that score after how good North Korea's defense was against Brazil, 7-0

I didn't wake up expecting to see that score after how good North Korea's defense was against Brazil, 7-0 Fell apart in second half. They knew that if they did not press for tying goal they were done. They pressed and Port counter punched their way to 6 second half goals.

Next game is Wednesday vs Algeria at 7:00 a.m. If we win, we're in. We tie, we still might be in depending on England-Slovenia game. Here is what I posted in off topic: Team | Wins | Draws | Losses | GF | GA | GD | Points | Slovenia | 1 | 1 | 0 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 4 | England | 0 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 2 | United States | 0 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 2 | Algeria | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 1 | -1 | 1 |
The US moves on1. US beats Algeria next Wednesday. 2. US draws against Algeria next Wednesday and A. England loses B. England draws and scores no more than 1 more goal than the US on that day. C. England draws, scores 2 more goals than the US, and the US wins the 4th tie breaker - drawing lots. The US gets first place in the GroupIf US wins and 1. England and Slovenia draw and the US wins by 2. 2. England and Slovenia draw, the US wins by 1 and the US scores more goals that day than Slovenia. 3. England and Slovenia draw, the US wins by 1 and the US scores the same number of goals as Slovenia, and the US wins the 4th tie breaker - drawing lots. 4. England wins by less of a margin of victory as the US. 5. England wins by the same margin of victory as the US, and England doesn't score 2 more goals than the US. 6. England wins by the same margin of victory as the US, and England scores 2 more goals than the US, and the US wins the 4th tie breaker - drawing lots.

Congrats to the USA side. A great day on the pitch with a 1- nil victory over over Algeria. The goal coming during stoppage. Soccer lingo highlighted for the uninitiated.
