Hes a tough little back that leads the nation in carries but is near the bottom of the list in YPC.

I love the run up the middle where Cooper is getting tackled and then O’Neil pretends to throw a pass. My favorite play that Lewis has brought to the program. |

Even Rich Ohrnberger is saying that the team has regressed and looks like it did with the same issues as at the beginning of the season. He has to watch what he says being the Aztec commentator.

finally!!!!!! 15 has 1000 yards. now he can be put out to pasture. how many carries in the first half? how many yards? There has to have been some kind of "deal" made for him to come to SDSU. Whether it was to guarantee him the carries to hit 1,000 yards, or the 5,000 yard mark, given the lack of PT for any of the other RB options, nothing else could possibly explain the Cooper situation so far this season. He's hit both now, so maybe they can let him chill on the bench for a well deserved rest. I don't think Donnel Pumphrey has anything to worry about record wise. |

Given what's happened so far this season, I think it's going to be very interesting to see who sticks around for round two next season.
It can't be the least bit of fun playing for this team, so for any players who think they've got it going on, they'd be crazy to stick with this stinker of a program unless they REALLY believe in it. And that could be the interesting part. If they lose some of the possibly disinterested players to the portal, maybe they'll get some replacements that really want to be there to win.
As far as disinterested fans go, it may already be too late.
