CSU loses to UNR UCR at home 77-75 in OT. Bad loss for them. FIFY I was wondering why they were playing a conference game so early. They were playing UC Riverside not University Nevada Reno. Just a typo I'm sure.

Ryan Kalkbrenner only took one shot in the game, and it was a 3. What??? How is that possible. Was he being double teamed the whole game, so Creighton got a million open 3's, and Creighton just couldn't make any? I'm assuming that's what happened. Kalkbrenner had four fouls, was not a factor. Announcers said Nebraska may have just shown everyone else how to play defense against Creighton. NB caused 17 turnovers and scored 22 points off them. Creighton had a five minute scoring drought in the 1st half, been there, done that. Creighton was 12-42 28.6% from three. NB only shot 25% from three, but only took 16 shoots. Ashworth landed awkwardly on his right ankle and had to be assisted off the court into the locker room and never came back. Creighton went from #20 KP to #33 with the loss. They are still favored over us Tuesday but now it's only by 3. Can't fathom how Kalkbrenner could go from averaging 25.8 ppg to scoring to taking 1 (!!!) shot and missing and also missing 4-8 FTs. This is a guy who averaged 89% FG and 90% FT in the first 4 games. He might have been playing with 4 fouls but he played 39 minutes! And still only took one shot!!! Ashworth was 4-13 shooting and they were ALL 3s. He also had 7 TOs. Hope his ankle is horrible till Wednesday morning and then he gets a M miracle and he's fine for the next two games. Nevada (#39 KP) was down to VCU by 11 at half but came back to win by 3. Oregon is still favored over us but only by 3. I'm not as worried about them as I had been. They only beat #98 Oregon State by 3 and went to OT against Portland (#313 at the time). Oregon trailed them by 5 with 36 seconds left to go in regulation but pulled it out in OT.

Ashworth by all accounts will be out for awhile. Creighton is still a dangerous team even with the off game

Ashworth by all accounts will be out for awhile. Creighton is still a dangerous team even with the off game That's true but he's a huge part of that team. He leads them in minutes with almost 31 per game. He's 2nd in scoring at 16 ppg and leads in assists with 6.4 per game. He shoots 40.5% from 3 and has hit 23-23 FTs this year. Him being gone is a big deal.

UCSD won by 35, 80-45 versus 5-2 Toledo in the championship of the Boardwalk Battle tournament. That should be helpful to their .net and hopefully to ours.
