1) With the additions of new players and those returning, Boise State is better than last year and earned being the conference favorite. Yet, ESPN has them before the Clemson win as the second group of four out of the NCAA tournament. 2) SDSU is the first team out while New Mexico was the only MWC team included in the Lunardi field of 68. I believe Boise State, New Mexico and SDSU all will end up making the NCAA tournament. ESPN does this every year to the MW. It's no secret that they favor the teams that are in the conferences that they have the media rights to.

So you say there's a chance.....? #15 KP Texas A&M is@ home playing #275 Southern and are favored by 24. The score at the Half is 39-25 Southern!
A&M is shooting 22% overall, 20% on 3s and 50% FTs. They seem to be looking past Southern to playing Oregon and Creighton next Tuesday/Wednesday. Guarantee Buzz Williams is tearing them a new a**hole in that locker room. Let's see if it works. It usually does against this level of competition.
Update: 17:31 left in 2nd half Southern leading 39-27

There's a real disparity between the AP Top 25 and KenPom's. One of the biggest is AP #24 Rutgers. They were favored by -20.3 tonight vs #201 Merrimack but won by 11. KP has Rutgers at #67. We could maybe face them in Vegas.

Saunders seemed to rarely come out in the 1st half. I saw him get his only offensive rebound right under the basket and he shot it 4 feet over the rim to the other side. Missed the whole basket from right under it. He set a lot of half-assed screens too. I'll take Compton in a second over him. Saunders still looks too slow to react and looks too robotic when he does move. He did go to the perfect team for him, reminiscent of a number of Aztec teams: good defense, lousy offense. They had a stretch from 10:13 left in the game to 1:23 left where they were 1-14 with 5 TOs and scored 3 points. They lost by 22.

I have no doubt he would’ve eventually lost his starting spot to Compton this season had he stayed.

In the bits and pieces of games I have watched, I have thought that Compton looked like a very mature (physically) freshman. But, a freshman nonetheless. He's got the body to bang, but I haven't seen enough of the rest of his game to predict that he will be a starter at some point as a freshman. Not trying to be contrary to some of the comments here, but would like to hear specifically why some of you believe that he will be a starter sooner than later.
