It's already dead to a bunch of fans, season ticket holders, and the like. Been to a "home" game this season? I have been to 2 games.

If next year is a repeat of this year, I don't see how we keep him for a 3rd year. I'd prefer to fire him right now though but I realize we probably can't afford it Why cant we afford it? I thought we have Stadium income,.yes theres bonds to pay...but... The payments plus overhead to run that place will soon probably be more than the cash coming in.

He’s not getting fired. He’s getting at least 2 more years so you guys might as well stop watching and come back in 2 years. It will save you guys a lot of angst and frustration. If you want me to go away, I will. Coming back? Lol.

Not even sure this team is good enough to even qualify for the Bottom 10 after this weeks performance.

I used to agree with you that he’d get three years no matter what, but if there’s a mass exodus of players after the season and a 2-3 win season next year he’s not getting a third. With the new transfer rules you can’t keep a coach once he’s lost the players.

I have been loyally following SDSU football since the late 80s and can't think of one season that has been worse than this one. This team is just painful to watch, it's not a good form of entertainment. And yes, we have had many new coaches and "rebuilding years" in the past.
I have become so frustrated with coach Lewis that I actually began to root for Utah State today. I don't know how to explain it, I've never felt this way before.

If Lewis is retained (he will be) the program needs to lower ticket prices. $680 plus $750 stadium fund for an upper level seat on the east side is just stupid.

In the early aughts we were going 3-8 / 4-7 against a non conference schedule of Ohio State, Michigan, UCLA, and conference opponents like BYU, Utah and TCU.
Now... It's losses to Cent Michigan, New Mexico, Utah State, San Jose.
The situation is untenable. Heads need to roll.

Central Michigan is tied for 2nd to last place with a 2-5 conference record & 4-7 overall. It is pathetic that State lost to a Mid-American team, I know we have in the past but we are San Diego Stinkin' State who almost got into the Old PAC12! FB program is in shambles!

SDSU coach Sean Lewis was asked during a postgame interview with San Diego Sports 760 if, despite the losing streak, the Aztecs are headed in the right direction.
“Absolutely,” Lewis said. “We are doing great work here. It’s going to continue to move in the right way. It takes time to build something at a championship level. It’s really, really easy in society to tear something down. It takes a different group of individuals to build and create.
“We know that we’ve got the right people here that are doing that. We’re going to continue to build, we’re going to continue to create and there’s going to be championships that come home in the future to the Mesa. That I have no doubt about.”
Well, sorry Sean but so far all we have are doubts.

Ours on the west side upper are $200 a seat -not all fees included , either. Doesn’t count parking or food prices. So it’s not happening any longer, especially after the past few seasons of one debacle after another. They cut prices by 50%, and maybe they get one more year… but that’s not going to happen. Their magnanimous offer to freeze prices next season is a badjoke. And not even worth considering.

Losing a few players to P4 teams and 10-15 who aren’t in the two deep to lower leagues should be the new normal. I wouldn’t consider that a mass exodus. If he loses 10+ starters and backups to non-P4 leagues that would be a mass exodus.

Just take a look at the list of offensive players that could come back next year QB-really don't think JTJ would want to, Is Duffy even still around, Crum? and maybe a new freshman? RB- Christon Med. Hardship? Armstead? Davis? Sutton? Channey (ACL) (less then 10 carries each for the RB's not named Cooper) WR- Napier and Brown, not a single other player with any real experience TE- Harrison undersized TE and no other player with any game experience OL- Not even worth talking about anyone returning, should all be 2nd or 3rd string maybe! --still think things are going to be any different next year? ---Still think this program will stick with this guy? ----If Lewis (hard to even call him Coach Lewis any more) is coming back he better have a true experienced OC/QB coach -----Current QB coach (who ever he is) didn't do anything to justify returning next season. ------AHC/Special Teams/TE coach should be shown the door, all 3 area's serious lacked in performance and coaching though out season.

I can live with giving Lewis another year (for practical reasons, money and if you fire a coach after only one year it does give good coaches a reason not to want to come here).
However, I do want to see Lewis hire a full time OC. And make some other changes on the staff. We need to see BIG improvements next year, or Lewis must go.
