thought the buy out for AAC was about 27.5 million Major reason to add school or schools from Texas are recruiting and will some of their businesses buy adds for the Media deal would need to have decent travel routes/airports to get there for the other PAC schools - not sure about do they have some of the other minor sports that would help the conference if it is trying to keep as many of the minor sports in the PAC ? how do they rate for TV Viewers for football - realize most Texans watch Texas and other schools in the SEC and maybe Big 12 - so do they have TV followers that the Networks want No, SMU paid $25M but they didn't care how much they paid to leave immediately. UCF, Cincy and Houston paid $10M exit fee and $8M paid over 14 years to leave early. If the early leaving penalty is too much for the AAC schools, the PAC can add TexSt for 2027 and then Memphis and Tulane (or UTSA) for just $10M.

I believe the Big East deal is worth something like $8M/school/year and they don't play football. So, how is it that the nPAC deal would be similar to theirs? More TV sets in their markets. Greater NY, Chicago, Indy,......... The Pac only has San Diego and Denver.

Greater NY, Chicago, Indy,......... The Pac only has San Diego and Denver. And California's Central Valley and Idaho. Gonzaga brings a wide market given their popularity and connections to the Catholic church. The PAC will add another market or three at some point which may include: 1. Austin/San Antonio 2. Memphis 3. NOLA Again, basketball accounts for something like 20% of a normal media rights deal and the BE doesn't have football.
