Sadly, the deal is with ESPN and Fox. Most likely ESPN2, ESPN+, and FS1.

I guess there is still plenty of time but makes me wonder when we will hear something about media deal and next conference member (s).

Who knows where the packages land, but I heard (AKA roomer) that the Nets most interested in the Packages are The CW, TNT/Max, and ESPN. CBSN and FOX have been interested to a smaller degree but that was 3 weeks ago that I heard this roomer.

They are in all US markets and generally found around the same locations as the other major sports station (Channel 6 on Cox San Diego). TNT/Max would be just fine as well with streaming on MAX which is the most popular premium channel.

Were you saying slow down brought on because of TOO many, or too FEW interest levels?

Sorry, that confused me a little Boise Aztec. Were you saying slow down brought on because of TOO many, or too FEW interest levels? More interest than expected That's what I'd hoped you would say. I further assume that the "caliber" of some of these "targets" could bolster their TV value, ergo, SDSU's paycheck.

I believe the Big East deal is worth something like $8M/school/year and they don't play football. So, how is it that the nPAC deal would be similar to theirs?

So, how is it that the nPAC deal would be similar to theirs? The BE possesses a 3-time national champ and that conference has a large viewing market. I believe we(SDSU) are the nPac's largest market. So it's imperative that we put out a better football team, eventually.

so if that is possibly correct would that be enough to bring in another decent football school ?

so if that is possibly correct would that be enough to bring in another decent football school ? Word is that no other additions will significantly change the per team value of the deal. However, of course the deal will be enough to bring in another FB school. It might be we add just TexSt for 2026 to get to the minimum number of full members to qualify for the CFB. If exit fees plus early departure penalties are too much for AAC schools, we can invite them for 2027 which means they would only have to pay no more than the $10M exit fee. Since Memphis backtracked their "no" to the PAC we haven't heard another peep from them or Tulane. If the fans were to decide, Memphis would definitely leave for the PAC.

I still don't like Memphis. However, if we do bring them in, it would likely require a package deal with a couple of other southern schools to take care of their Olympic sports.

I've been doing a little research on Texas St and I'd be totally fine adding them. The school is growing like crazy (40K+ enrollment), is in the center of Texas (smack dab in between Austin and SA), and although they're R2, they offer bachelors, masters and doctorates.

If you were to make a blind analysis and compared Texas State and BSU… looking at everything except football history… you would choose Texas State all day
