It was an election between two lousy candidates - which has been the case in every election since I've been an adult (im in my mid 30s)
Fortunately, this time Trump at least has some real good people around him imo

Oh no...Black people overwhelmingly voted against Trump...this is on white people...I said long and often...this was an election of what white folks wanted...that it was an election between white supremacy vs democracy...that we are going to find out what/who America is...that white supremacist/racist/bigots did not care how deplorable/unqualified Trump is if it preserves white superiority...and what did we find out...let there be no doubt...that America is a racist/sexist/homophobic/hateful and a uneducated arse country...PERIOD!!!...this is its DNA/soul. I get it that you, in particular, would jump to the really easy race card excuse, but how about the fact that most human beings felt that Harris was in over her head, and wouldn't do a good job. She went all in with the abortion issue thinking that would do it, also the fact that she was thrown into the fire didn't help. I'm now wondering if Biden wouldn't have been a better choice, but he didn't do himself any favors. The fact that Americans were willing to overlook Trump's faults, tells you how bad of a candidate she was. Unlike myself, most Americans were superficially willing to only look at how the country was going under Trump before Covid, and not the division he brings with it. I hope Trump wears a bullet proof vest every day because unfortunately there's a lot of wackos out there who are probably pretty mad right about now. I pray that he survives his tenure and does a good job. That's all we can hope for. |
